I don't know if some of you have seen the cover to "The End", yet, but for those of you that have, the feet in the water (whcih look like Count Olaf's), aren't Olaf's! **Gasp!** Mr. Snicket clearly states that Count Olaf's tattoo is on the outside of his ankle, but in the picture, it appears that the tatto is on the inside!! Shame on Mr. Snicket for trying to fool us! xD

Boy, I'm surprised Mr. Hellquist would make a mistake like that... If it WAS a mistake... Hmmmm... I wonder... sad

Remember the Erzats Elevator, when the children have dressed up in the pin stripe suits and are sliding down the banaster? Well the picture shows Violet sliding down in her normal dress.
The pictures mean nothing. The artist makes mistakes. Many of them, in fact. Unfortunately I don't have my books here but believe before the VFD group was developed, the eye tattoo on Olaf's ankel was an eye with eye lashes. I notice these things a lot.
Take these pictures with a grain of salt. Many times the artist will be told; 'draw a picture of this character doing this.' Without reading it.

Which makes me wonder what colour Violet's ribbon really is. On the cover it's always different [maybe to add interest?], so I guess that's why in the movie they just used a black one. But good job on observing that tattoo thing.

I didn't notice the tattoo thing. Great job. It doesn't seem like they would make a silly mistake like that but then who was it???? eek
