Within this folder are records and documents pertaining to the Actor known as Karma, a child who was once called Janus on the Other Side. This child is now in the care of a woman named Kismet (or DivineSaturn). Only the master of Karma may contribute documents, unless otherwise granted permission by the keeper of these records. Any violation of this rule and complaint from a master will result in disciplinary action.

Name: Kismet Shahnaz, also known as Lady Charade
Name Meaning: Kismet- fate
Gender: Female
Age: 31
Occupation: "Exotic dancer" at a nameless establishment in the Lost District.
Residence: An abandoned ticket stall in the Harbor, however she can be found more often in the Lost District.
Noticable Traits: A young woman in her thirties, Kismet stands out in most crowds. Her dark skin and eyes are clearly foreign, and while she looks unusual she has a definite beauty about her, in her own way. Kismet's long brown hair is usually curled and pinned, in a half-updo, half-loose style meant to entice. When working she dresses in revealing, gauzy clothes that scream glamour, though most of the riches (such as metallic trim, embroidery, or gauzy fabrics) are either fake or stolen. However when Kismet is presented with free time she dresses far more modestly, usually in decidedly foreign blouses and surcoats with high necks, the embroidery fraying and colors faded from lack of proper care.
Personality: Time has made Kismet into an oyster- a delicate pearl surrounded by a shell. She renounced love some time ago, and now hides any feelings or emotion. Her only care for herself is to stay alive, so that one day she might return her people. This does not mean that she will do anything though. While her current profession is often considered taboo, in her opinion it is not harmful. Her opinions about people who do harm others (to say nothing of Sehket) are strong and when she feels she can she expresses them. However currently she feels somewhat helpless, as if her fate has already been sealed, and she does almost nothing to help herself. In short, her spirit has been broken, but vestiges remain.
Background Information: Kismet was not born in Wynander, but rather in a small city far to the east. The daughter of middle-class merchants, she was brought up in a comfortable, if average lifestyle. At the age of twenty she found herself the proprietor of a small but prosperous trade route that went between her home city and Wynander, and kept herself busy with that for a further three years.

And so it went, until the gates of Wynander closed during one of Kismet's stops in the city, trapping her inside. The rest of her group- the two guards and her mentor- all vanished during an escape attempt. For a time Kismet survived, selling the rest of her wares and making a few shrewed trades for more. However in less than two years her stock was depleted, and the woman was left with no way to support herself. With nothing else to sell but herself, she turned to the Lost District, and the brothels there.

Name Meaning: Rashne- judge; Karma-
action, effect, destiny. While Rashne is his "legal" name, Kismet will always refer to him as Karma.
Gender: Male
Stage: Infant
Identity: Janus
Personality: The spirit of Janus seems to exhibit two personalities that are opposite of each other. One often appears to be apathetic towards the world; however, the other seems to be curious and cheerful. These personalities seem to switch without any cause or indication.
Notable Features: White streaks run through the child's hair, and though one of his eyes is a clear and lively blue, his other is washed over by white.
Relics: This boy wears a mask on the back of his head; the mask is the face of an elderly man.
