IceintheInk Mistress Kill (m!lk) Peeko it just annoys me that so called fans get in a twist cause they didnt make the top 100 guys in random teen girl magazine or whatever. Thats not what music is about.
it wouldn't have made a difference if some magazine put them there or not, right? so why does it matter if just billie is there? people like him for now... they'll stop liking him in a while... hopefully.... "so called fans"? How on earth does any of this make us "so called"?? Look, this is becoming incredibly stupid! You're missing the entire POINT of the post. It wasn't some stupid teenie thing of "OMGOMG MIKEY AND TRE DIDNT GET IN DA TOP 100!!! dat sux caus dey are da hotttest!!!!11", it was merely an observation on the fact that (stupid or not), they left out two very cute guys simply because Billie's the frontman. I was just amused at the irony that he got to #1 and the others weren't even IN it, especially against such people as...well, slipknot. With masks on. Ew. I hate how we're not even allowed to MENTION the fact that they're hot without being accused of not being a proper fan. GROW UP! JEEZ! Sorry. Really, I am. The fact that I keep getting labelled in the same box as those damn 12 year olds makes me want to scream sometimes. youre missing the point that articles in stupid commercial teen magazines just dont matter. If you are a proper fan, i.e. someone who likes them for the music they play and not the hype, you'd just enjoy listening to the music and not whine about the results of some inane magazine crap. The only reason any of green day got in the article was because they are over-hyped at the moment, its just a way to sell their magazine to the conformist idiots.

IceintheInk Sorry. Really, I am. Blame the sugar and the REAL teenies harrassing me all day. The fact that I keep getting labelled in the same box as those damn 12 year olds makes me want to scream sometimes.
JUST certain people who overreact over something like this is a bit proposterous don't you think? it's one magazine. it's unfair. but no one can do anything about it. besides the reason that billie is frontman and adding to the fact that green day is big. magazines need a way to be sold out to the public.
honesty in my whole entire life i have nor had any magazine in which i read EVERYSINGLE DAMN PAGE i always skip over something or other...
to grab a person's attention a magazine must put in what considered
"hot" at the moment if you may. and that my dear is indeed billie joe armstrong from green day. among other people who really don't matter
but that's the reason why. and it's stupid to kind of just go around and nag about this being a big deal when it shouldn't be. sure it gets people a bit mad because as a band they all deserve to be there. because they guys are quite good looking and all. but they categorize them as if they were just your regular stupid boy band... and they're NOT!!!!
like any damn teen girl magazine would care about mike and tre' when they could care for billie and just billie....

NOOOOOOO!!!! *hides* Anyway, I don't normally buy magazines unless Green Day are in them. And even then I just read the articles in the shops before I get thrown out. Mwaahaha. to be honest kerrang is worse than top of the pops magazine these, its written by the same people that do smash hits so its hardly suprising that it turned into a teenie magazine. flameofpheonix I take it you are not either: Keen with Kerrang From England, where there is hardly anything coz its so s**t All of the above Nya what does being from england have to do with anything. Kerrang is just a terrible waste of precious rainforest and ink, what they write is just amazing irrelevant. Hpw about just listening to the god damn music and enjoy it! Stop getting in a state over some mind numbingly shallow crap in a magazine. There is a good significance to being in England. We want to read articles that are more interesting than the everyday crap that is in Smash Hits and such. flameofpheonix There is a good significance to being in England. We want to read articles that are more interesting than the everyday crap that is in Smash Hits and such. Being in England and having crappy Kerrang to please ourselves with show that we as a country is far behind the amount of entertainment available in America. Argue if you wish. Yeah, it's the same in Ireland. While Kerrang is not the best for people in America, it's probably the best for people in Europe... We're stuck with smash hits, top of the pops etc, and Q. And Q isn't even that good.

Why? Because his band (not Mike and Tre's obviously...) is the biggest band in the world right now. But they don't just do that. I mean, if The Darkness were the biggest band in the world right now, they wouldn't choose Justin Hawkins just because he's popular. Face it, Billie Joe is attractive and because they're so popular at the moment, it going to be all over the place.

Argue if you wish. i shall argue, as far as i know kerrang is produced by the same people that release smash hits magazine and features pretty much exactly the same kind of articles. I.e. lame illiterate articles for idiots who like following trends and hype, there's nothing in there about music. You might as well read smash hits. To be honest i dont think US is much different. If you take your mainstream blinkers off and look around you will find good things to read that arent sponsered by big business.

i live in the us and ya i agree with the above couple posts. in case nobody noticed, america is the most domestically violent country on the planet, and its cuz of the media. not to mention that everything in magazines like kerrang and sh*t are either shallow, expoitive, or both.
