Okay, I hope this topic isn't too random. sweatdrop
I was first introduced to the guy's work though A History of Violence (which happened to star one of my favorite actors, Viggo Mortensen.) And I thought it was a singularly creepy, involving film. Now listening to the commentary on the DVD makes me appreciate it that much more.
Something strange happened, though. Shortly after recieving A History of Violence from Netflix...we got another DVD in the mail. Apparently it was another movie by him, Dead Ringers. (Oddly enough, it starred Jeremy Irons.) Neither my mom or I could testify to having sent for it.
Okay, I haven't seen that one yet (I'm going to try to find time soon, though) but my mom said a lot of good things about it. And generally implied that I'd like it.
And then she made me watch part of an interview with the direcor. And showed me his picture.
He is decidedly Winslowish.
Oh god, I think I'm becoming a fan.
Any of you seen his other stuff? Or the two movies I mentioned above? Are there any other Cronenberg fans here in the Phantom community?
