The main issue I can see in your picture is that the eyes are way too close together.
A rule to follow while drawing faces is to always place one eye-width space between the two eyes.

Although, it's nifty to have eyes closer together to further express something, it's a better idea not to have them almost colliding. I understand in real life some people have their eyes a bit closer together...yeah, I'll stop now, I'm starting to get rambly....
