c3N3TH_cEY I Hate How All the Good,Real Industrial Groups Are Being Over Populated By These Halfassed synth ebm Groups like combicrist nebual-h and others What HAppened to Real industrial Laibach,Throbbing Gristle,Klutae,Coil,Skinny Puppy,Clock DVA,or Einstuerzende Neubauten? Any one That Hates This New Wave of Synth-s**t,Please Post. I like all the old as well as most of the new ones. Music always changes over time, be glad that you got such a variety. Older music in ALL genres sounds differnt now then 10, 20, 30 even 40 years ago.

I don't hate those bands mentioned per se,. but I also would not call them EBM, but Agrro instead. Personally would like to see more people enjoying the older stuff too, especially older EBM.

Real industrial from what I have gathered from my time listening to it is basically avant-garde noise music with a punk aesthetic. I'd say musique concrete and krautrock are the two biggest influences on the genre and it would be a mistake to label industrial as electronic or especially rock music. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Culture_HandbookGood book to read on the subject, Boyd Rice contributed to it. NON is probably (in my opinion) the best real industrial band, with Throbbing Gristle following not too far behind.
