Mystery Eggs HALLOWEEN '05 Item: Halloween '05 -- Pumpkin Egg Owner: Ithiltari Type: charm pendant Description: This hand painted trinket is one of a kind, and is strung on a high quality, delicate gold chain. The charm is reminiscent of a rather festive pumpkin. Athan's Notes: This item is one of a kind, and only one person owns this particular egg. The enamel painting done on the mask is very delicately done. Excellent craftsmanship if you're into that sort of thing. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween '05 -- Void Egg Owner: quietsnooze Type: pocket watch Description: The materials of this pocket watch are classified as unknown and seem to absorb light. The watch itself counts backwards. Athan's Notes: This item is one of a kind, and only one person owns this particular egg, nor have I figured out how the watch works. Dammit. Unfortunately time magic is hard to figure out if you aren't born with that particular talent. It's rather obscure and unknown. I'd personally like to know what this watch is made of since it also absorbs light in an interesting way. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween '05 -- Nightmare Egg Owner: maskedquerade Type: magical orb Description: Believe it or not this orb is said to both induce nightmares and prevent them. Figuring out how that works exactly is the trick. Athan's Notes: This item is one of a kind, and only one person owns this particular egg. Haha. I know how it works. It is, however, a pain to operate so I definitely will not be doing any demonstrations. I witnessed one once. It wasn't the most of pleasant experiences. Truly. Dream magic is also rather obscure, and definitely not within my abilities to properly weild. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween '05 -- Bloody Egg Owner: azuredreams Type: charm pendant Description: The blade of this small dagger pendant is made from sterling silver, the handle from pure ivory, and the red gems are rubies. The blade is said to resemble one from an old legend. Athan's Notes: This item is one of a kind, and only one person owns this particular egg. Unfortunately I hate that person. A lot. I do rather like the legend the pendant is based off of, though. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween '05 -- Darkness Egg Owner: Thabara Type: jewel pendant Description: This amethyst pendant is one of a kind and is strung along a sterling silver chain. If you peer into the gem at a certain angle you'll see a vision of a night sky. Athan's Notes: Quite a striking little trinket. This item, also, one of a kind and has only one owner. It reminds me of some pendants I had seen on display once that contained images and, if you were lucky enough, small worlds. Interesting thought to ponder -- having a small world in one's pocket. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween '05 -- Demon Egg Owner: Reyna Crelos Type: unknown Description: N/A Athan's Notes: Reyna ran off with the egg before I could take a proper look at it. Nor have I seen that it has hatched, but I would imagine it has by now. I'm curious as to what is inside. I think I'll have to harrass her over it some. Appraisal(s): N/A
HALLOWEEN MINIS '05 Item: Halloween Mini '05 -- Orange Egg Type: odd candy Description: Go ahead. Eat it. I dare you. >D Athan's Notes: If I had known what was truly in this particular egg I never would have allowed them to be given away at the fiasco that was the Halloween party. Turns out, the candy is made from souls. How that is possible, I've NO idea, but Wren and Reyna seemed to enjoy them. Perhaps a bit too much. In fact, if I recall correctly Wren hoarded most of the orange eggs to himself after discovering their contents. Note to self -- do not purchase items which potentially become demon magnets. Thanks. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween Mini '05 -- Black Egg Type: black candles Description: Be careful when you light these. The flames are eternal and will never go out. Luckily the flames will ony burn on the candle and the wax doesn't drip. Athan's Notes: Nice candles, but I definitely prefer the type that burn out eventually. I would think the constant source of flickering light would get irritating after a while. It is rather nice that nothing else will catch on fire from them. That is a nifty little trick I'd like to pick up spell-wise. I think I may look into it. The question would be, where to start looking? The vendor that provides these eggs is.. well.. less than brilliant. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Halloween Mini '05 -- White Egg Type: ghostie Description: Try as you might to catch this little spector it will always manage to vanish just as you reach for it. Athan's Notes: Cute. But annoying. Appraisal(s): N/A
CHRISTMAS '05 Item: Christmas '05 -- Candy Cane Type: peppermint dragon Description: Careful! These mini dragons are known to singe fingers if you happen to near their hoarde of sweets. Athan's Notes: This dragon is actually about the size of a garden snake. It's technically classified as a creature called a 'wyvvern.' I hate wyvverns, actually. They've habit of getting into my house and building their nests in my closets. I hate that. They're pests. Damn my faerie for deciding to keep one of their eggs. I pray that it does not hatch, cruel as that may be. Last I need is for my home to become a breeding ground for the little worms. I've enough to be concerned about without waking up to find my home infested with pests. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Christmas '05 -- The Prince Type: katamari ball Description: Wow! Your very own katamari! Perhaps if you roll up enough junk you can create your very own star! Athan's Notes: I'm highly skeptical about the whole... rolling up random junk to make a star. It's essentially a small, round lint roller. Seriously! How do you make a star with that?! Truly, of all the ludacris things I've ever heard of, that positively tops the list. I want to see someone try it. No really. I would pay good money to see someone create their very own star. And not with a spell! That's, technically, possible and somewhat feasible. I wanna see someone do it with this lint roller. Thing. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Christmas '05 -- Blue Present Type: jeweled pendant Description: This lovely sapphire pendant is set with real sterling silver and is strung along a soft, blue velvet ribbon. Athan's Notes: Not too bad in quality. The gem has a nice sparkle to it. Very elegant. The setting concerns me somewhat, as I would think over time that it could potentially come loose. That's never a good thing with stones. It'd be a real shame to lose one of such good quality, too. Otherwise this is a perfectly lovely necklace, and I would highly reccommend it to anyone. I would imagine the velvet ribbon would be quite comfortable to wear as a choker. Definitely something meant more for a formal occassion, though. It's not meant for casual, everyday wear. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Christmas '05 -- Snowflake Type: snow faerie Description: This little faerie greatly prefers the cold. If you're nice to her she may grant you a wish! Athan's Notes: Personally, I would advise against the whole wish granting business. Faeries are tricky and, more often than not, spiteful. Frost and snow-based ones are about as warm in temperment as they are in element. Tread carefully when dealing with them, as you should with all fae folk. Particularly if you're human. The mix of the two never seems to bode well for anyone. I've witnessed that much a time or two myself, though thankfully never first hand. Demons, on the other hand, are a completely different story that I shall not go into. Just... avoid them. Appraisal(s): N/A
Item: Christmas '05 -- Tree Type: bonsai tree Description: How festive! This little bonsai tree is decorated with delicate, spun glass ornaments. Athan's Notes: This one is my favorite. I rather like plants in general. Appraisal(s): N/A
