Which album do you perfer?

De-loused in the Comatorium has more of a sci-fi feeling and to me feels a lot darker- though that might be because you can't dance a good salsa to it.
The tracks don't have the same flow but there is less noise. Though the lyrics are simpler since they're not in spanish, latin, or just very foreign the concepts they're trying to convey seem harder to grasp. The story of Cerpin Taxt isn't very clear. Certain lyrics feel like they don't have as much meaning and don't feel as well chosen to continue with the theme of the story as they do in Frances though they do add that science fiction-esque feeling with lyrics that always demind me of ATDI's last album. There're few tracks that don't vaguely remind me of TMV's old roots in ATDI, even when the lyrics sound different, there'll be momments when the music is simmilar as well.

Franced The Mute has more of a tangible story behind it and seems to be very..epic? I suppose that's the word for it. It feels more like you're being told a story then just listening to a simple song. The tracks blend together more, making Frances feel distinctly different from De-loused. Where de-loused goes from 'This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed' to the more mellow 'Televators' Frances always seems to build up anticipation then slow down instead of hurdling you from song to song.

De-Loused in The Comatorium all the way, for sure.
I relate far more to the internal struggle of one's being far more than I do to some male prostitute who has HIV. True Story.

I've always thought of De-Loused sounding a lot rougher than Frances the Mute. In a good way though. Frances the Mute just seemed to flow, in my opinion.

maaaaaan.............thats a tough one..............i cant decide....i mean sure, frances the mute had that epic story feeling to it but comatorium was really really intense!! like drunkship of lanterns was like something incredible........like when i heard the it for the first time it was like something i've never experienced..........on the other hand frances the mute told a really great story.......in my opinion.

Its really hard to compare the two albums, because they truly have so much different between them. One is jumpy, where one flows nicely. There are difficulties in understanding the story in both albums, and truly, in both you find yourself just listening over and over trying to desparately understand. Really, I can't compare them, since they both have such strong bases and out of this world concepts that I truly cannot pick one masterpiece over the other.

I prefer Deloused. I mean, I love Frances, but Deloused is just like a drug for me. I love the imagery in it... I can't NOT picture scenes (somewhat Salvador Dali-esque ... the style, not that it's a copy) when I hear it. Sometimes it's like the wind's been knocked out of me. I guess it just... evokes a stronger, deeper reaction for me, and that's why I'd pick it.

I like them both, but I do have to say that I do prefer Frances the Mute a little more than De-loused... Frances the Mute does flow a bit more than De-loused does, and I love all the songs in there. De-loused though is a very good album, almost equal to Frances the Mute in my eyes. It does sometimes remind me of ATDI too, but it's not too bad. It has a nice feeling to it.

I think Deloused is way better than Frances the Mute.
Any person that has listened to Roulette Dares can tell you that.

Ive always loved de-loused more than any other album. Its not just the story...every song fits into it like a puzzle piece. Its very roughly cut but thats why its so amazing- its different-it takes you places.
