Hello! Your friendly Mule here to give you the heads up on roleplay incentives. Why? Because some of you might want to try for such an incentive, but you need to be informed first otherwise we might have a misunderstanding and then things will get ugly and we don't want that now do we?

So what kind of incentives are our shopkeepers offering? Well the inscentives are broken up into two catgories. Role play incentive and art incentive.

Role play incentive comes mainly in the form of powers. Certain races of Neko (like a type of Blue Moon) might develop a power, but that can only be done through role play.

The other, art incentive is the chance that through role playing your Neko could gain a form different from the mainstream. Though there are currently no races that offer this at the moment, it was the plan of the first shop owner, and one that will hopefully be seen through in the future.

(There is possibily for a third incentive which is a random event. If this happens it is unknown at the time.)

:Roleplay Requirements:

There are certain requirements that need to be filled before you can be considered to receive whatever it is you're trying to work for. Please read through, because without this, even if you post a lot nothing will happen so pay attention!

1) Grammar and spelling, everyone makes spelling mistakes, but at least catch the major ones. Grammar, not asking for a masterpiece, just decent use of captials, commas, quotes and so forth.
2) Be aware of the Neko you are role playing, every Neko is different so reading up on the race through the shop front and through the guild will help greatly otherwise you might not make sense.
3) Try... please try not to use one liners, go beyond that. What does your character notice and not notice, what are they thinking? Feeling? What is the current situtation like for your Neko?
4) It's not really a rule, but it is highly suggested you keep a journal to transcribe things in.

:Why?:

Why are you so nit picky about how literate we have to be?

Because the role play manger and assistant are picky, they themselves are somewhat serious in their roleplaying, and it irks them if people cannot keep grammar at least to a grade 2 or 3 level. They are going to put effort into creating these powers and art for your Neko, they want you to put effort into roleplaying. Not using the bare basics of grammar and spelling tells them you're not trying.

Why read up on the races?

Besides to make sure the role playing makes sense, since Nekos vary from race to race, it is to also see how much you pay attention especially if you are given the ability of powers. Powers are very tricky things and the role play managers are very wary of them because they (the powers) could be abused or god modded (such as being perfect in using powers). If you read up on the races, then it at least makes them feel like if they give you a power you'll read what they have told you and take the power's weaknesses into account as well.

Why no one-liners? Are we suppose to be literate?

Besides the fact that one liners in a serious role play irks the shopowner there is another reason for this, and it is choice. Both shopowner and role play manager will debate and talk about what art type or power your Neko will get if qualified, but they cannot tell which type should go to your Neko if you use one liners. One liners are often a 'he said, she said' kind of thing, they tell them (the owner and manager) nothing about your Neko. Without knowing your Neko as a character they cannot choose the power or art type that would suit him/her the best.

Why is it *highly* suggested we keep journals?

I know and you know that at times it is highly confining to role play simply in the shop and in the guild. There are times you might want to take your role play else where, the journal just acts as a way where you can transcribe or describe or put links to the other role plays where your Neko is attending. In addition there will be times neither of the two that should be watching will be around and they wade back into a lot of posts to find yours. So.... less heartache.

:How The System Works:

I (the mule) will act as messenger more often than not when an event is about to take place concerning your Neko. Though bare with us the system is also going through it's own growing pains (since it's never been tested before).

Powers:

Powers will most often be given out during teen stage unless there is a reason for them to give powers to the Neko earlier. I'll come to announce this (don't worry I'll wait till you're on to do so) two times.

The first is the intital giving of the power where I give you your power and your weakness as well as a friendly reminder that your Neko is still learning.

The second time of the giving of power is just to state that the power has gotten stronger and giving a new set of weaknesses in the process. Simple no?

Art:
We don't have any like that right now, so I can't say.... maybe in the future.

:More Help For Incentive Questers:

It has come to the attention of both manager and assistant (though they've guessed about this for a while) that there are two current problems. One, the shop is quite confining and two, not everyone likes the guild. The latter is a pity since many things will be planned for the guild but never fear, we are going to do things to make things easier. (And no, letting up on the requirements isn't one of them.)

Journals

Like I said journals are not techically a requirement or rule, if we seen you role play, or you role play with us then that counts too, which brings us to our next support help for you.

Shop Affiliated Roleplays

Kara and Aidan are role play fanatics, seriously they are, and as a result they have founded quite a few role plays. In the links section there will be added links to role plays that are made offical by the shop. Meaning that if you role play there, it will count as a role play by them.

*However* let me say this first, these role plays that are made offical by the shop *are* literate to semi-literate role plays. Read the front of the page to know the rules first before coming in, and even if you are trying to gain a power or art, if the writing isn't up to par or if you break another rule then you will be asked to leave that thread. They are letting you join that thread with your Neko, it is not your right to join it.
