Well, I don't think I have the right to make an opinion of them, but their latest cd (the only one I have) is pretty good. I don't see why some people didn't like it. The majority of it is a lot more mellow than I thought it would be.

Emery-kos Well, I don't think I have the right to make an opinion of them, but their latest cd (the only one I have) is pretty good. I don't see why some people didn't like it. The majority of it is a lot more mellow than I thought it would be. the reason for that is I heard davey havok's voice box got fixed.. cuz of all the Screaming... thats why alot of people I think dont really like it... I like it too... one of my friends that loves afi dosnt even really like the new cd eather.. she tells me it dosnt even sound like davey

He didn't scream (I think) on All Hallow's EP and The Art of Drowning, which I'm also quite familiar with.
I have all their stuff now so I should get around to hearing it sometime. I rather enjoy what I know so far.

The majority of it is a lot more mellow than I thought it would be. A lot of people have told me that the reason they don't like AFI's latest cd is because they're becoming too "mainstream" -_- Honestly though I like their new stuff and their old stuff.

I can't decide on my favorite song though. Right now, It's between "Bleed Black"
and
"Death of Seasons"

A Fire Inside (AFI) is an awesome band. I've been a fan since just about the beginning. Davey's voice doesn't sound the same but his voice still rocks. And anyways it's not always the voice that captivates the fans but the music itself.
