Did you have a question you wanted answered, or were you just typing out nonsense? You don't sound at all worried about yourself, in fact you sound as if you think your actions are rather amusing, therefore I doubt anyone will "recommend" much unless you put forth some sort of request. Obviously harming yourself is not healthy, so I'll steer clear of lecturing.

If you cut and believe you cannot/will not stop doing so, there is no easy way to tell someone about your situation. It is a serious problem and will be addressed as such. It may sound like a bit much, but you have to look at it from a physician's point of view: A young girl comes in and admits that she cut herself willingly and requests assistance to stop doing it. He's going to give it to you. Perhaps if you tell him that it "isn't really that bad," and that "you won't do it again" or something he won't take you so seriously, but I doubt it. Any doctor worth his salt is going to react strongly. Most of the time the basis for admitting someone to an institution includes the person's possibility/capability of harming themselves or others and since you obviously have that ability you should be prepared for that consequence. I'm by no means saying he would do it, but I personally think you aren't being realistic about the situation. Just genuinely request help and try to make the point clear that you find this as a minimal problem that the doctor can solve (not an institution, for example). I request therapy and a visit to the community mental health office in your area.
If you're in the States, I can provide more mental health authority information if you require it, considering I work at one. I wish you the best of luck. Cutting is harmful and unhealthy, you should try your best to avoid it. It solves absolutely nothing.

well i came home and she just kept yelling at me for everything and it gets tiring define "everything" and you should never cut your self. (although im not one to tal, i;ve done it too, jsut only when i see no other option) 1: it harms your skin permenatly asyou've discovered 2: if you do it deep enough it can be a either fatal or serious injury. but about the defining "everything" i would like to knwo what "everything". means to you in this case.

I've got to agree with kalandra; go see your doctor and specifically say that you don't want to go to an institution.

Not to rain on the parade but sometimes it is the best thing to go to an institution, it hurt to be in there when I was there but it helped a lot.

there's nothing wrong with going to a pyschiatric hospital or anything of the sort. Helped me out tons... and I'd rather be there then anywhere else honestly.
As for the cutting... telling your doctor about it is a very good idea, but be warned... they usually will have to tell your parents if you are a minor (which I am assuming you are) There is no confidentiality when you are hurting yourself or admit to wanting to cause yourself harm... or if you admit to being pregnant... or if you admit that you have an eating disorder. They don't have to keep any of that from your parents.

You cannot be put in an institution against your will unless it is extremely clear that it is the absolute best thing for you. From the sounds of it (just one cut?) you won't benefit much from it. It was very hard for me to come clear about my self-injuring to my psychiatrist and counselor. When I finally did come clean, I was asked to explain why I did it, how I did it, etc. Not much was done about it after that, which kind of upsets me because I'm struggling with recovering with no medical help whatsoever. If you're afraid that you might do it again, the best thing to do is confide in someone whom you really TRUST, and would allow you to call them whenever you feel the urge. It's really difficult to deal with it on your own, but it's also difficult to open up. I hope you have the best of luck overcoming obstacles!
