((-dies- X_X omg my mom is kicking me off soon Kea love, if we must can we move it to the Guild? I think I can haggle another post before being forced to leave. -snarl-))

'This isn't a business love, there's no room for intruders in this den.' It was the ticks that drove her off the edge of being cruel and bitchy. She wasn't always led to female confrontation with such an attitude, however with the irritating bugs that reaped of future misfortune, she felt it was necessary. Why have her suffering only spent on her own life?

Soul didn't move, darkness hiding only portions of her fur, the other half dimly lit by the brightness of her pelt and the mild sun that hid from the world. Her eyes gleamed yellow, brightening with the sight of another wolf, yet dully kept from over excitement. 'What do you want?' Another harsh call came followed by a loud roar and THUD.

The obvious signs of the she-wolf scratching at another tick infested area.

A business? What the hell was the other wolf talking about. She shook her head, realizing that she wasn't wanted and turned to leave, there was really no point in staying.

Then she heard the next question and was about to get nasty when the thud reached her ears. "Are you okay?" she asked, trotting in.

This was certainly the oddest encounter with a wolf she had in a long while. What on earth was causing such havoc?

Soul flinched with the approaching scent. She's coming closer? Soul immediately felt tensed, the words spoken previous towards her lost in the confusion of bugs and a stranger. Another tick leaps onto her flesh and breaks surface, sucking happily on the flesh, the hickey like beginning to a new and deadly sore beginning its development.

The female hissed.

What was with all the ticks! She couldn't understand how for years she'd slept outside and all of a sudden, when she's alone and frail and just ready to keel over they swarm in and attack. Maybe it was a sure sign that soon, she'd need to go. There may not be a purpose for her here on Earth to those calling her from above, but inwardly she knew she couldn't die off yet without spreading her infectious feelings.

Pausing from her constant scratching, she peered towards the up coming female, only capable of seeing a glint of blue through the shadows. 'What is it?' Again, she failed to catch the worrisome words spoken after her fall and in doing so couldn't understand why this female entered her den. 'Haven't you seen a tick infested wolf before? It isn't rare in the woods. Figures I'd get it now in old age then when I was younger and more likely to survive the after-effects.' Soul lifted her left hind leg, lowering her upper torso and scratched helplessly behind her ear, flecks of try skin along with blood from the sores scattered and faintly she whined.

Why wouldn't they just go away?

All of this commotion from the other was completely baffling Kara. She didn't know what to think or what to expect from the other wolf, only knew that she was in pain. But why she wondered, daring to crep forward.

Yet again, the harsh words. How could a wolf be so harsh. It wasn't as if she was comming jumping in here babbling about how awesome Kaho was. If she had been, she would have hoped to have been shot that very second.

To say the truth, the hadn't. She'd seen a few mild cases with a few wolves that were unkept, but this was horribly serious. The old wolf seemed to be talking more to herself than to Kara, but the female tried again. "Are you going to be okay?" she repeated, at loss of another word that might be okay. Didn't anybody in these woods ever take baths?

Soul flexed her hind leg, lowered her muzzle to it, and gnawed till even the bone began to feel the puncturing points of her canines. Afterwards, she began a tilt towards the wall but not yet touching it, rolling back to her upright position. It had become uncommon for kindness from the female, however something seemed to click and an old sensation began to seep through her being and casually she leaned against the back wall and sighed. 'Don't come closer. I've got bugs, ticks I guess--they may get onto you so just don't come closer.' her voice smoothened and her eyes fluttered slightly, this intruder didn't seem to be of trouble, but instead brought company...something she looked forwards to seeing daily.

'What’s your name?' her voice was frail now, soft and timid however still strengthened by the rage she held against things--objects--wolves. Recoiling, she contained herself, trying desperately not to scratch away at her skin, which now rippled like water. It was a disgusting sight, if one could see it clearly, however she was hidden by shadow and felt confident that her massive red form wouldn't be seen. 'Why do you wander here? Tired I'd presume...' she inhaled the air, paused with her muzzle pointed up, then dipped it back and gently placed it directly between both forepaws.

The quick change in the female's voice startled Kara more than the original shoutings. "Kara," she whispered, afraid that her loud voice might break some holy peace that was set about the acrid cave. Her head was dipped low, eyes scanning about for any signs of something unusual or out of place.

She lightly heeded the warning and took her seat on the soft earth, her gaze still wandering, thankful for the cool shade. With all the excitement Kara had nearly forgotten her original intent to comming here, but once the female mentioned it, the cold claw of sleep gently pulled her eyes shut. She shook her head to fight off the weariness.

"Yes. Just looking for a place to stay the night. I didn't expect. . . " What had she expected? It wouldn't be any consolation now.

She shifted the topic of conversation, "Can't you get rid of them someway?"

Soul acknowledged the name thoughtfully. 'Kara. Very nice name--strong in many ways.' her ears shot back and purposely, she shifted weight and pressed against the back wall further. Trust was a thing of the past, she may learn the ways of keeping peace but every trusting someone outside her bubble almost seemed absolute.

Her eyes wandered about the damp darkness, outside heat bearing down on the soil, cooking up quite a flurry of scents. A wrinkled nose took in the wafting smell of burnt--something, and retorted to the fowl smell with a snort. Following this, she spoke, head still nestled between thin paws. 'I see.' pausing for a moment, she breathed silently. She would offer her home for the night, but hoped this wouldn't become anything permanent. 'Stay the night, if you must. There's plenty room for a family of wolves, so one extra will not kill me. But I warn you, ticks are a muck--'

There was yet another pause, extended slightly with the following question. Her fine tuned ears, no matter what age continued to creep up on her, began a hastily flick in Kara's direction, and urgently she spoke. 'If there was a way, would I be sitting here chewing at my own flesh? I don't assume you have a cure to these bugs, do you Kara?' her tail curled about her form, the entire mass that was Soul's body convulsing gently with the irritating and taunting itches.

Kara had never assessed names, nor heard of any that had done such. This made her very intrigued and baffled. Strong name. . . what did that have to do with anything. Names did not determine who you were, just what people knew you as. Names could be easily twisted and tweaked, but she supposed it held some comfort for the other so did not question the principles behind such a statement.

She let out a yawn, flicking her tail absentmindedly as her paws slowly slid in the soft dirt, weariness now beginning to dig away at her very soul. "That would be wonderful," she mumbled in response to staying in the cave.

She had drifted off when the other's voice snapped her awake forcefully. "Wha!?" she caught herself saying, then quickly adjusted herself. She thought for a brief moment before it struck her. "They don't come out during winter," she flatly stated. She wondered why this was. They seemed prominent enough other times of the year. It was the only amount of information she could offer.

Soul cringed. 'That’s it?' the patient being slowly crumbling in her resting position; however she managed to sustain some sort of kindness that followed in toe. 'I see, well that eases my mind on the revenge of these critters during the winter season.' her voice cracked, a chuckle barely audible. 'I suppose I should, I should go do something--find someone. They should die off quick hopefully. I'll go roll in the water, then dirty up in some dirt--yes that'll work.' the extended sentence shortly grew into incoherent mumbles towards the end, and while speaking she had gathered herself onto all fours and promptly moved out from the interior of the den to the open air, exposing her flesh and colors.

The sores continued to ooze, however her itching had slowly come to a stop, so they lessened.

With every step came a twitch, and that twitch followed by a growl. It wasn't long till she turned her head just before entering the tree line. 'Stay put here if you want, or go wander--either or. I'll return shortly.' And she spun on her heels, leaping out and into the foliage.

((I plan to bring her back into the RP after your post XD; If you want to continue of course. <333))

That was it. That was all her minute wolf brain could think of right now. This old wolf certainly had a way of chilling her to the bone, even if intentions seemed friendly enough. The female wolf's plan sounded reasonable enough and she took note of it for further reference in case she ever had ticks.

She nearly gasped when the wolf moved past. It was certainly a gruesome sight with the blood and the puss, slowly seeping out over bright red fur.

She decided to stay put. She was tired. Letting out a sigh she let her head fall back to the ground and drifted off into a dreamless doze.

The brook cut through the forest like a stone path. It was visible from a mile away, and the mumbled echo's that it gave off as it strolled along down stream could equally be noted from a distance. She approached, not so weary as she was just moments before. Her wounds bulged, but hardly bothered her now as she moved stiffly across soft soil. Her trotting ceased at the rivers bay, eyes hanging onto the clearly rippling image peering right back up at her.

A scowl passed her lips and inwardly, she was disgusted.

However this wasn't her point in arriving to said river, and in remembering, she breathed a heavy sigh and rolled casually onto her side, then onto her back--this leading her directly into the rivers center. The water raged angrily around her mass, however only continued to flow after a few moments of pulsing circlets. A passive moan escaped slacked jaw's as the hefty female basked in both the glorious sunlight, streaming through the tree's lightly, and the cooling water that carried away all her troubles, so it seemed as well as her oozing sores. They were bleeding down the assigned path, creating a murky, thin layer just on the surface. A tongue flopped out and onto the side of her face, running into the water with a fierce burst of cold contact. Didn't bother her, nothing did at this moment. Everything was perfectly quiet, the water seemed to silent itself as soon as she dipped her ears into it's almost weightless interior. Feeling her body grow numb, she pulled her weight back, relaxed in her positioned, breathed another sigh and finally shut her eyes.

This time of tranquility lasted at least an hour before she was back on her feet, sores clogged with water and fur mangled with it's moisture, and trudging back to the den. It was as if the female who took refuge there hadn't come along at all, and Soul honestly could admit that she figured it was all a dream, however stumbling back into view of the mouth, pelt now littered with lose dirt, she grumbled. There was the female, sleeping.

It was an inner battle she fought for a moment, wondering if she should disturb the slumber or not. The female shrugged, walking into the den and passing the lounging she-wolf silently, then she uttered. 'Oh my, to much sleep can bring headaches.' It was a high pitched cry and falling onto her belly, she grinned.

Kara's eyes fluttered open, blue hues moving upwards, hazed over with glass, the sign of sleep. The corners of her softened lips perked outwards, giving way to a small, yet sweet smile to acknowledge the others presence. A light thump swirled the dust of time, seinding it on its own adventure into a place far away from the isolations of this cave. The two blue moon eyes shifted towards the females hind, searching for the crawls of pain. It was void of any terrors that she could rightfully place, and to this she let her muscular fifth limb move a whee bit faster.

"Good thing you woke me," came her softened voice. Sleep had done well for her, the wind calmed her very skin, a still and reddenned coat against a damp and cool cave.

Her interenst rose as a sudden teeming question jabbed at the corner of her mind, looking for a way out. She gave it one. "I don't believe I ever received a name."

Soul perked, watching the tail clash against the earth and back, swaying to and fro in--pleasure? Soul hadn't caused pleasure in so long, and the sight of such thing seemed rewarding in it's own way. Flexing her forepaws, she yawned, the words coming from Kara slow and groggy. She didn't respond, but lacked her jaw in acknowledgment.

Following this, she watched the lips of the opposite she-wolf press and release against one another in a question. Quizzically, she stared off into the distance--offering her name was something she held worthy to only those who deserved it...

However...she wasn't in any way wake enough to cleverly work around giving it bluntly.

'Soul.' there was a dramatic pause, golden eyes barely blinking in her intent stare on Kara's form. 'My name is Soul.'

Kara's jaw opened to its full extent, letting lose a pop before it settled back into its proper position. She shook her head, hair moving steady from side to side as she worked it down her body. Thick muslces coiled as she thrust upwards, standing, showing the other female her enlarged height. She was well rested now, she felt litte reason to stay much longer.

"Nice to meet you Soul," she whispered, as if afraid to break the flowing silence in the cave. "And thank you."

It was time for her to make her leave, there was no reason to extend her stay. She would show the same hospitality towards the other if need ever arose, and the longer that she stayed with this one the more she took from her free pass.

Kara's lifted form was indeed larger now, seeing it clearly through the thick light. She watched, the female flexing her muscles slightly with her stand. Soul knew she was leaving, and some how felt as if yet another close piece of her was drifting off.

Aw well.

'Twas delightful. We should do it again. Without the bugs.' her nose tipped upwards, ebony lips spreading in a grin. She watched Kara prepare her leave, and again felt the twinge of loneliness run over her--but this was weakness, and her spiteful heart had soon melted away with Kara's presence. It was the dire need to be around someone that drove her into the shameful sensation of kindness, and so she was evidently in a hurry to gain back that wickedness and was pumped to fill the hate-gauge once more. Nodding her head, she regarded Kara's movements and made the gesture in a half-goodbye wave of her head, then, she rolled back onto her side and huffed.

This wasn't easy, being alone again, and the silence would continue on for the next few hours--days...till Leigh returned from where he was. Shrugging, she shut her eyes and instantly, forgot Kara's presence.
