...the strategy guides to Suikoden I - III...I know there was one for III at least, but I never did find it...and I mean the book version, which would have maps and what not...not like on GameFAQs...which to me is worthless really.
If anyone knows a place that accepts PayPal (since it would be online most likely), please, let me know.
Also, sorry if this topic doesn't really belong here...I'd post elsewhere like a spam thread if there were one in this guild (least there wasn't that I saw). sweatdrop

I'm not sure if there were strategy guides for 1 and 2, but the US Suiko 3 guide was cancelled. There's the Japanese version titled "Suikoden III The Complete Guide," which I have. (I can't read the actual walkthrough part, but it at least has detailed information about the characters...)

Apparently II's guide (made by Prima) is REALLY rare. Which is pretty freakin' cool, since I have a copy. (Hehe -- I bought it after I beat the game. XD)

You should make a forum and type up everything it says for all us poor non-suikoden II owners....
Or not xd

Hmm... The guide for Suiko 3 has... *flips through it*
- extensive system information, from all the possible Unite attacks to lists of recipies to game mechanics.
- maps of each area, clearly showing where all the stars can be recruited.
- a walkthrough, with plenty of screenshots and event flow charts.
- a complete character list, with pictures a short profile, skill levels, rune affinities, and the like.
- the quintissential bestiary.
- endless appendices covering comment box messages, items, equipment, and Kidd's findings...
- extra omake info from Suiko 1, 2, 3, and the two gaidens.
I'd say it's worth it, just for all the extra (accurate) data and appendices...

You youngins and your 'guides' back in my day the tricks of the trade went by word of mouth. Yeah, those were the good old days. We would walk five miles in the snow just to get our hands on a copy of a good RPG and it was uphill BOTH ways!! We didnt even have shoes either... stare

If I buy a strategy guide, it's because...
1) It's a collectible item. 2) The artwork in it is nice, and there isn't a separate art book for it. 3) It's a collectible item.
