This time, Hadrian caught the reference.
Cue a complete blush. No chance of restraining it after that comment...but really, how did one respond to that? He didn't know.
So he just putted the ball into the hole as quickly as he could, before waiting a moment for Thorn to finish and hurrying to catch up with Marc and Haki. Hoping that they'd still be at the second one - even if his lover was seeming a bit over protective at the time, it was still better then being embaressed and - flirted? - with.
It was disconcerting. And if he wasn't with Marc, he probably would have been flattered...just as embaressed, but flattered that someone was actually flirting with him.

Marc was. And when he saw the blush, it was enough to have him growl at Thorn. "What have you been doing to my Hadrian?" very neanderthal, but Marc only had so much patience when it came to Hadrian. Possessive? A little bit. Jealous? Hah. That was an understatement.
Because Marc remembered how perverted a game of gold could get.
Thorn seemed to work on the same mindset. Or was a gambler, because he smiled. "Marc." he said, amused. "This game won't end the way ours did a couple of years ago." a smile then, one that seemed to suggest that the game had finished very well indeed.
Very well.

'My Hadrian?'
That was new. And it was the first time that Hadrian had seen Marc be so - openly jealous. While the other man was usually quite jealous (especially when it came to Thorn), this was the first he had said something like this. And while the idea that his lover was going to be that possessive wasn't exactly something he cared for, the sentiment...
Well, it equated to a warm fuzzy feeling. Or it would have if he still wasn't embaressed, especially since Marc was continuing that. He shifted almost imperceptibly so that he was closer to Marc - to calm him down, if nothing else
"...w-why don't we just continue?"
Before all the other people on the course started to listen. Some of them were already staring at the four, after all.
However, it was likely that Hadrian would need quite a bit of help with the golf, throughout the entire course. After all - he was missing his monocol. And with worse vision in one eye then another, it was bound to mess with his perceptions and ability to hit the ball into the hole quickly.

Thorn smirked. Marc, the usually so cool and suave business man who could make a six figure income in a week, was losing his cool and suaveness over another man? Not that he didn't understand. He did. Almost.
Surely it must be puppy love.
"Yes, let's continue." he said, not noticing tha Hadrian had moved a little bit away. Or not caring. He would get his hands on the mage again, soon. He had the patience of a mountain, after all.
Haki, not understanding what the fighting was about scowled, shaking her head as she tugged at Marc. Again. "Three?" the only reason they were so far ahead was because Marc wasn't playing.
But that wasn't working out either.
"Hadrian." he said warmly. "Why don't you try this on by yourself?"
It wouldn't touch Hadrian so openly.
While Marc was right next to him.

Feeling a bit of relief that the issue wasn't going to be forced, Hadrian went to attempt this one on his own. And another thing to be relieved about, that Thorn wasn't going to...'help' him on this one.
Though as he began his attempts, he had admit that he wasn't doing very well. He was doing horribly, in fact.
At least it was entertaining. If any of them were in the mood to laugh it would have been, anyway - but with the tension that filled the air at this point, amusement didn't really come much into play.
This was going to be a long game.
((>.> I keep thinking about your comment of Marge and Homer, and keep getting pervy images in my head of Thorn getting Hadrian alone in that sort of dealy XDXD
Bad Ale x.x
But, ehehe...if you want to jump to a situation like that, we definintly could ^_~))

Marc would have laughed. He would have helped Hadrian, joked about practice and made hot eyes at the mage. BUT, he was on the other side, moving progressively further away as Haki cheated in the game to win.
Which left Thorn alone, with him. Laughing, he reached out to touch Hadrian's hand. "Come on, you can do better then that." stepping in close until body heat did confusing things to Thorn's mind, he chuckled.
"We're going to be left behind, at the rate you're going."
((... you mean, Thorn could convince Hadrian to do that? XD ))

((Probably not convince him, but definintly make for an uncomfortable situation. If he got Hadrian embaressed enough, he'd start to stumble over his words, be like a deer in the headlights, that kinda fun stuff >.>
Which means fun for us rofl ))
Hadrian had a feeling that he wasn't going to stop blushing until after the game had long since finished, and that seemed like it was going to be a while in coming. Unfortunatly.
While he hadn't been so suspicious of Thorn at one or two points in the evening, the longer this went on, the more he felt - well, an attractive man getting that close to a person was bound to make someone uncomfortable.
Finally, they were nearing the end of the course - not the very end, but near it. And it was a windmill...well, sort of. A large one with a small tunnel like thing to walk through, and around...it actually made for a very secluded location, as much as one could be secluded on a miniature golf course.
Striving as he was to get through this quickly, so that he could just go and hide in his labs, he moved into the tunnel.
((There's your cue, if you want it ninja ))

Thorn's smile widened. What a perfect scenario. With a glance back, he saw that Marc had his back towards them as he helped Haki with the last ball. That one was pretty difficult- so it should be a while at least, until Marc turned around again.
Slipping in under the windmill, he smirked. Well, there was just barely enough space in here for the two of them. "Hadrian." he said, amused. He placed a hand on the other man's waist. "You're going to have to move up a little bit. Contact, back to front.

Feeling Thorn come up behind him was enough to make him nervous once more, even though he'd...well, actually begun to get used to it, since he was so bad at golf and needed the help so much. But a hand on his waist...that was enough to make that slight nervousness increase tenfold.
Hadrian wasn't used to anyone but Marc holding him.
Mumbling something unintelligible, most likely a 'right', in response to the correction for the golfing. His mind really wasn't on golf though, except for how long it would take to get this done.
He could see Marc's ahead at the next hole. The last one.
Finally.
He hadn't blushed this much since Marc and he had their initial encounters...
Tapping the golf club to the ball lightly, he did feel some small measure of pride as it actually got close to the hole. Maybe he was improving? Or, more likely...luck.

Before Hadrian had a chance to move away, before Thorn lost the opportunity, he tugged at the man's arm until they were facing each other. Excitement almost ran through his veins... but Thorn knew better than to let emotion over ride logic. Emotion was when you messed up, when you lost control.
"Spiderweb." he murmured, leaning closer and brushing at his hair. For a moment his hand stayed ther, curled behind the ear as he smiled. Well, the mage certainly looked very very flustered.
Thorn smirked.
And stole a kiss.

Hadrians reaction was slow, at first. Nervous, uncertain about what exactly Thorn was doing - but not expecting what did happen. He didn't think Thorn would be so brash, especially when Marc was just ahead of them.
And for a moment, he remained frozen. This was a man who would never do well in a situation where the reflex to move was neccessary - because his reflex was to stop, motionless. Almost like a deer or rabbit becoming still in the hopes that they would not be sighted by a predator.
Except this one was already in ones sight.
An instant later, and his reaction came. Attemping to pull away quickly, the mage looked even more flustered and embaressed then he had before.
"I - you...ah, I mean..."
He didn't have the slightest idea what to say, once more. And he was very tempted to just run to Marc - but he felt had had to clear something up, first. He had to have given a wrongful impression to Thorn, at Marc's party...
"Look, I d-don't feel that way about you."
At least he manage to get a full sentence out, though he stumbled over it.
Hadrian was the sort of man who, when pushed too hard, too fast, reacted like a cornered animal. But when it was slow like this, he was more nervous, less likely to react violently...and far easier to deal with.

"I know."
Thorn leaned forewords once more and nibbled on Hadrian's lower lip. He was good at this. He had practiced a lot, before. With woman, with men. Nodding his head, he smiled.
Hadrian looked good enough to eat, the way he was looking at him. "You will, though."
It wasn't arrogance that tainted his words. But something else. Something much more casual. It was a statement the way Thorn would predict the stock market.
"And when you do, and when Marc tires of you, I'll be here."
Thorn was the one to slip out of the windmill first. And with good timing, too. Because just then Marc looked over.
"It seems they have finished the game, Hadrian." he purred. "Would you like to continue?"

As Thorn slipped out, Hadrian continued to stand there for a moment. Unnerved, uncertain and feeling almost - guilty. Because it felt as if he had, once more, cheated on Marc...even if it was just a kiss. And even if he hadn't been wanting it.
Guilt was a funny thing.
But...there was some underlying fear there, as well. Thorn's statement seemed to make it rise up, and it was one of those things that the mage hadn't understood - that strange fear that Marc just...would tire of him.
It made sense, after all; Marc was a business man, and the sort that was probably used to not being with someone for very long.
And every time he heard those words said with such confidence, such surety that Marc would tire of him, it made that fear grow. It stayed quiet, and hid...but it was there.
Hurrying out, Hadrian had had enough. He didn't want to play this game anymore, as childish as it may seem.
And in response to Thorn's so casual a question, he muttered something typical about just wanting to get going, before moving to catch up with Marc.

Marc's eyes brightened as he saw Hadrian, smiling as he eased just slighlty away from Haki to approach the mage. Something dark crossed his mind at the sight of Thorn, the satisfied cats smile that stretched across his face. But it was all better now. Hadrian was here, and nothing bad had happened.
"You ready to go home?" he asked, nodding his head. "Haki's tired out. That competitive little brat."
The blonde looked up, beaming as she ran over to Thorn. "Did you win too?" she asked. "I winned." she was happy, very happy over this fact.
Thorn smiled. "Did you?" he nodded his head. Deciding that it was time for him to leave, he nodded. "Marc, Hadrian." his smile softened just a fraction. "When you want your monocol, come by sometime."
It would be... interesting.
Marc, relieved that the man wasn't going to try to follow them home, nodded as well. "Thorn." he could be nicer, now that the mind was going to leave.
"Shall we?"

Hadrian gave a nod to Thorn, and then focused his attention on Marc. Marc seemed more calm then he had earlier - maybe the game had done some good for the other man? At the very least, it looked like Haki had enjoyed herself.
"Yes...I still have some work I have to do."
Especially with all those new Souls. At least he hadn't had to deal with their guardians yet, though at the moment, these Souls were the last thing on his mind. No, he was preoccupied by other things.
(And I think that's probably the end of this one, or close to it )
