Does anyone know a way to go to Japan for an exchange student program? Because I already asked my mama and she said no. But I'm convincing her with various prices. I've seen the Genki program and it looks good but...its hard to learn about...>.<. I'm looking for one thats for Middle school and High School. If you can help. I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Meg

The reason why I want a good one is because I'm really shy. And to live with a Japanese family....well.....it wouldnt put a very good impact on my life. That's why I want a good exchange program. So that is has requests. Because even here in America....I'm really really shy (see my masque...its to hide my face). And I'm scared that I might embarrass myself. (I'm an awful clutz as well.) Please help me!! Now I don't JUST need the exchange program....I need proper etiquette lessons.....please help me.

Doomo Shinkusan. YFU has several programs for Japan, so I'm sure you could find at least one you like. I'm pretty sure they all have forms to fill out, in which they'll ask you things like "What kind of family would you like to have", and "What area would like to be located in". The families aren't guaranteed, but they'll try their best to please you. Plus, there will be affiliates in that area that'll check up on you every few days to make sure your family is treating you well. In most cases, the families will do just about anything in their power to make you feel at home. It my still be a good idea to get over your shyness though.lol
