Hairy Priest Not taking things seriously? You mean like... if the Doctor and Rose hadn't been so annoying trying to get Her Majesty to say "I am not amused" in Tooth and Claw, maybe Queen Victoria wouldn't have gotten cheesed off and included the Doctor in her list of alien threats for Torchwood to deal with?
Personally, I don't think the Doctor WOULD be laughing that off & treating it so casually, but there you are.

Twisted Davros Everyone is talking about the fact that both Daleks and Cybermen are going to be in this and the fact that both of them are probably going to be at war but shouldn't we be speculating about the real threat - whatever's in that sphere? I mean they already have an idea that could be the focus of an entire story arc (Just like The Trial Of A Time Lord), Daleks v. Cybermen, so why would they include something else? The only explanation is that it has to be something even bigger than both the Daleks and the Cybermen, something so big that they have to use a fight between Daleks and Cybermen to divert our attention. Now, what exactly could it be that is bigger than both the Daleks and the Cybermen put together and has to be kept absolutely secret?

Hairy! Thank you SO much for that screencap of the trailer! I mean, I watched the trailer and all, but I did nottttttttttttt notice my beloved Mickey in the background!!!!!
And I believe the 4 words they are referring to are: You are not alone.

Ah... Never heard the phrase before (in the context of Dr. Who), but after doing a bit of internet searching I've come to the conclusion that... err... everyone but me has read the "Meet the Doctor" article by RTD in Doctor Who Annual 2006.
Well, now that I know, I really do hope that phrase means what I think it means...

Well what ever happens its going to be tied into the war of the daleks and cybermen
spoilers .... mabey
theory 1: Maby she does what she did in the episode parting of ways, how else could they get rid of the cybermen and daleks only she cant let go so the doctor cant save her.
theory 2:well with the whole "she not rose tyler, not anymore" maby she gets zapped and loses her mind so the doctor drops her off home, that way she could return for a future episode.

Rose cannot:
1. be killed by dalek or cyberman (too quick, her death should be really long, or really painfull - like if she's ripped apart)
2. be left behind (well, the doctor's gonna remember her eventually, isn't he?! and then, obviously, he's gonna bring her back)
3. just walk away. Maybe I'm reading too much into their relationship, but i don't think the doctor would just let her walk away.
So, I think that she should be put up into a choice between her and Earth, and Earth is chosen, and she has to die a REALLY painfull death.
Examples:
1. Being ripped apart.
2. Being eaten.
3. Being cut up (basically the same as being ripped apart, but neater)
4. Being starved of oxygen.
5. Being electrocuted s-l-o-w-l-y.
6. Dying of heart-break (I've always wanted to see this happen)

Too bad my favorite one (Rose being eaten) is unlikely, since neither Daleks nor Cybermen really have teeth...

well its starting to look more and more like rose will sacrifice herself for the earth "saving the Earth might mean the death of Rose Tyler". But you also have to accommodate how they will get rid of the daleks and cybermen.

They're really not giving anything away as to how it's going happen are they? My only complaint about Rose dying though is that it means that Jackie's never going to come back. Jackie's my favourite character.
