Now I must say that I am the queen of laziness. I cant even run down the hall to my locker after school without becoming winded. (Ignore the fact I can hike all day at the state park and laugh at the complainers while my legs burn in a mini hell.)

Ok! New question!

Is it right and/or wrong to go for the shock when dealing with people you know are of a certain religious order and just want to see them mad? Insane? Scared?

Ex) Me wanting to scare the heavens out of my geography teacher.

well...i m catholic, and i have a very strong religion with ties to god! catholisism is about believing that there is a god and that he will come again in glory tojudge the living and the dead for his kingdom will have no end. being a gay catholic is great because the church says that it is not against the religion! but we believe that mary is the mother of god and that she interseeds to god...this might explain it:

the memorary:
"remember o most gracious virgin mary that never was it known that any1 who fled to ur protecion, implordge your help or SOUGHT your intersessions was left unaided. inspired by this confidence i fly to u o virgin of virgins my mother. to you i come, b4 you i stand, sinful and sorrowful. o mother of the word incarnet despise not my petitions but in your mercy hear and answer me!"

we also believe in the forgivness of sins the ressurection of the dead and the life of the world to come. we believe that jesus died on the cross for us in forgiveness of our sins. he was gods only sun. but speaking of wich, he "loves all of gods children" ((speaking from the new testment wich is the book of wich god was made flesh and walked umong us. the OLD testiment in leviticus doesnt has as much of a god that we see in the new testiment. it talks about being gay is ok, but not to act upon it. speaking of wich that the new says ok! thanks for reading this!

You must have a very open-minded priest... who is obviously going against the Vatican by teaching you this. Going against the Vatican isn't necessarily a bad thing, but... well... the lack of basis for this argument is astounding. If your priest actually told you this, I worry for your church.

There are Scriptural arguments against homophobic rhetoric, many of which are acceptable even within the structure of Catholic creed, but this is not one of them.

As for Leviticus: Leviticus 18:22 states that laying with a man as with a woman is toe'bah, which is an abomination of the spirit. Failing to repent from it, according to Leviticus 20:13, is punishable by death. Mosaic Law is not the place you want to go for pro-homosexual argumentation, unless you bring historical context into the picture (and most fundamentalists won't accept that, since they believe the Bible is literal and all parts of it are eternally viable).

Um, actually I think Catholisism is one of the more female friendly relgions. Catholics get in trouble a lot for praying to Mary and all that jazz.

Sometimes it can be. Other times, not so much. With the Vatican, it really depends on their mood. Rome gets PMS a lot.

Ya know, I saw the Pope. While in Italy with my classmates we were in Vatican City and he was giving a speech. I didnt understand a damn word of it but he looked like they dug him out of his grave this morning. So old, so senile..o.o;

I kept wondering if that was water he was drinking too. ^^; ..Im not very polite am I?
