Ty-Ty x How about allowing dedicated, trustworthy game participants to be crew here, and then simply allowing the crew members to take turns? That's a good idea, too! ^^

I say that people nominate a bunch of people, and then you pick from the pool of candidates. Each nomination should be like a paragraph:
"I nominate Zae because....." and explain their reasoning and all that good stuff.

We could even have gamemaster teams that way one person won't have to be responsible for everything. So if something comes up in RL that prevents them from their GM duties there will be others to help out.
For example, they could be teams of 3. One person would be responsible for assigning roles and keeping them secret, the other for storyline updates, and the third for tallying votes.

I also want a decent shot at being a GM. I feel that anyone that has participated in the game should be able to become it. I think it would be unfair if the oldbies of the game had a better chance. It is like that in High Schools too. The older students bully the newer ones and get thier way most of the time because they have been there and THAT in thier minds justifys it.

I was also thinking maybe there should be tryouts for wrting different parts of the story (jail story, killings story). Why? Because, some people might be more proficient at one part than another.
I, for example, was writing a sample story just in case a sample story will be needed to try out for GM. My jail story went smoothly, but once I got to the killing part of the story, I was stumped. I was just no good at that part. And my jail story had turned out fairly well in my opinion, so I didn't want it to be wasted, because since I can't write the other half, I can't use it to try out. I got frustrated.

I think there should be sample deaths, and we vote based on those. A GM has to be able to keep us entertained with the killings as the main part of the role, I believe, since just about anyone can do the other stuff.

Yeah. whee The writing is really the most important part of being a GM. @w@ That and dedication. Which could be difficult to judge.

Well, you can't just have any Jack, Jill or Japhezroxiwl No. 59 be a Game Master. I guess applications would be good, but wouldn't that stress Zae if too many came?
The logical way would be interviewing personally everyone who applies to make sure they're dedicated, but that would take too much time.

The thing with us voting for stories is that people can always tell friends which is theirs. Also, it's Zae's choice, and what if we all loved a story she didn't? The public making a desicion probably would not be the best thing. dramallama

And since there's a sizeable group of hughugkisskiss friends, if there's any voting, those in that little group would get a majority, and that eliminates a lot of us. I don't know if there can be one fair way to pick a GM.
