It would seem that whenever I load the Construction onto my computer, Oblivion has a tendency to randomly shut off whenever the hell it feels like doing it.
Needless to say, this is a problem if I want to do things with mods, because my brother will constantly delete the set, and then I'll have to put it on again, repeat.
So, has anyone had similar problems, and do they know of a way to fix it?
Another important point:
There seem to be problems where items generate a small "anti-grav" field around them, so items float above them, instead of on them.
Such as placing a fork on a plate, but the fork floats above the plate instead of going into the "groove".

I have the same gravity-like field.
As for the issue of it shutting off at random, I don't know.
As for your brother deleting it constantly, you could always make a copy and place it in a very remote file so that he can't find it.

He'll probably stop. He only does it when he's stupid enough not to constantly save.
The gravity-field's a pain. If you stack plates on top of one another, they float apart so that they're like...
In a temporal anti-gravity zone.
*Sigh* Why Bethesda, WHY??!!

The construction set is amazing. I just downloaded the goggle mod and I have a Khajiit. The goggles take up the tail slot but with the construction set I switched it to amulet. Also you can change the wieght and cost of like every item.

Well, the anti-grav field has to do with the mesh sizes. Most of the time, there's plenty of extra "whitespace," if you will, around the items which is just transparent in the world. At this point, there's nothing you can do about it, unless you go in and trim the meshes down... Which really wouldn't be worth the effort.
As for the random shutdown, I used to get it before I even used the CS, but it just got more frequent after I started loading up on mods. I suspect its like when you load a mod with reference conflits within itself, and it asks you to "continue playing? Yes/No/Cancel" Where cancel stops the load, yes loads regardless the errors, and no shuts down the CS.
I figure its the same with Oblivion, it runs into some kind of error, and rather than ask whether you want to play regardless or not, it just closes the game.
No solution that I know of, but the best workaround is apparently saving habitually.
