I think, they're are llike page regulars whho don't care about being on the first page, So it's like public chatting, for those who are too lazy to PM eachother.
yeah.

gobstoppers_are_crunchy what shhe said plus wn a page gets to like 1000 i get drawn to it more than ones that are say 10 pages long...either that or the people that started them have mystical monkey powers0_o Really? I tend to shy away from the larger threads when I want to chat for a bit. I figure the thread has regular posters with too many inside jokes. ^^;;
And I don't see why everyone prefers PMs so much. Yes, I see the advantage when you have something to say to one person, but I like how multiple people can be part of a conversation in threads. ^^
And as too the actual topic, others have already stated what I think. If a group of members find a thread that they all have a good time in, they're bound to keep it going. ^^

Smilexiluvu how some threads seem to stay alive for a long, long time???? i mean like 40,000-70,000 PAGES???? how do they do it? I'm certain it's to do with regulars to the threads and a lot of interesting topics. ^^ It may be a place where gaia-friends hang out and talk about things.

They stay alive because of persistant bumpers.
