Well, I've been thinking. I'm going to be going to University in the next two years, and I think it would be nice to go to one with some decent religious resources - especially Wiccan, given my own personal lifestyle choices.

Thus, I was inspired for this thread. I know many of us haven't hit University yet, but will soon. Since we're all so interested in religion, it may be desirable to have religious resources at whatever post secondary we attend.

So, I propose, if you know any Universities with decent religious resources (aka. groups and clubs, services, officials...), post them here. Preferably with a link to the University's website and what kind of resources they offer.

And anyone who posts Canadian Universities with established Wicca groups gets a cookie wink

I imagine it should be pretty easy to find a Christian or Catholic Campus Ministry, maybe even a Jewish campus ministry if you're lucky, but I really wouldn't count on finding such an organisation that is Wiccan.

Well I do know that there's a Wicca group at the University of Victoria. It's not on their website because it's not a major one, but it's definitely there.

The University of Toronto has a Wiccan official on staff who is legally allowed to marry people. Also from Baha'i, Judaism, Christianity, LDS... and about five others, I think. I can't remember all of them.

I know there are a lot of Christian colleges and most Universitys have Crusade for Christ clubs and other variations. Not sure about Wiccan though...haven't seen any.

I think McGill has a wiccan/pagan club...but you seem to be in the Vancouver Island area, and Montreal, where I am, is kinda 4000 kilometres east.

I'm afraid my college doesn't have a Wicca club. It does have a wide variety of religious resources though. Most are Christian oriented, but there is a large Jewish organization and a large Islamic organization too.

As I go to a private college, it lacks the population needed to support any sort of non Judeo-Christian religious group. Someone was trying to get together a religious diversity group, but I guess that must have fallen through since I haven't gotten any more E-mails about it all year. crying

Usually to find a Wiccan group you will have to look in the city off-campus. They may be there, but they are probably not affiliated with the school. At least, that's how it is here . . .
