Anyon else like this cartoon/book? They are supose to be working on a movie...

High Light Below For A Run Down... Contains Spoilers...
it is about a unicorn who lives ina forest. and a unicorn must never leave her forest. she is there to protect it and keep it green. and to keep the animal froms being hunted. but she know sthat she is the last. it has been some time since she has seen others. she knows that unicorns do not die, but they can be hunted or killed. so she takes a bold move and leaves her forest. she promises to not be gone for long. but you know this isn't true, it takes at least several seasons and they show this. but she gets tips froma butterfly about a red bull. and thats what she is going on. along the way she meets a man. but the man cannot see her horn. so she wonders if since man can not seeher, if that she may in fact not be the last. she continues on, and meets up with a witch. this witch knows what she is, and emprissions her to apart of her zoo. yick, but that is where she meets the wizard smindrick (spelled wrong)... anyways, the wizard frees her. the harpie kills the witch, and off they go. now since the wizard saved her life she is endebted to him. however she can grant him his true with of beinga true wizard. so he choices to add her on her quest. she's not happy abou tit. later on near hagards area she meets molly grue and a band of merry men... yeah... ok here our wizard transforms a tree, and the unicorn saves him. yet he stil follows her, and she tells him yes that was true magic. by now miss molly sees the unicorn, goes histerical. where were you when i was a young maiden and not an old hag. how dare you come to me when i am this... yada yada... and now she joins, and smindric isn't happy about this. anyways they are now at hagrads castle. the red bulls comes out, and he seeks unicorns. well we cannot have this can we, so the wizard transforms our unicorn into a human girl... ::breaths:: anyways... now they become apart of hagreds court, and another wizard warns them that his doom is at his front door and he has welcomed it in. well the unicorn who they have now called amathea (also spelled wrong) begins to forget that she is a unicorn, and starts to fall in love iwth hagreds son lir. lir likes to be a hero and slay dragons and do great deads to please amteha. but ametha hates him for his deeds. anyways, they figure out were the bull is, and yeha well... now smindric has to change her back. lucky she isn't all human. she about looses to the bull, but when he tramples lir she remembers him... and then pushes the bull into the sea. this causing all the other unicorns in the sea were the bull has traped them to come out, yeah all saved. but one last thing... she now has to restore lir. she tells him that she remembers him, and then runs off before he awakens. he wants to persue her, but smindric and molly will not let him he needs to re build the kingdom. yeah ok thats the gist, and i am sure i mixed book and movie.

actually i had been questing to own that movie since it came out. i got really close when an old woman acquired it on VHS back in 2002.. then she died before i had the money in 2003, around christmas time.

for some reason, im encouraged to sing Sopor Aeturnus now.

But anyways, about the movie, theLast Unicorn is for fantasy, for me at least, what Ah My Goddess was for anime. to this very day I remember the red Bull and the word "regret". If you liked this movie, I would laso recommend "Flight of the Dragons".

i own flight of dragons as well, but not the book (i believe it was too pricy at the time)


and i never regret. the last unicorn taught me to never regret....

I love The Last Unicorn heart . I grew up on the movie (and still watch it) and as soon as I found out there was a book...I had to get it. Ive also heard of the upcomming movie and have been to the website for it. I hope its as good as the origional *crosses fingers* but I doubt it sweatdrop

I haven't seen the movie, but it's an excellent book. :] I read and own quite a bit of fantasy, but I don't think I have a copy of The Last Unicorn. I need to buy one though.
