GreatBuddha Targeted GreatBuddha Targeted GreatBuddha Im thinking that after a set many of years there will be more travelers. Its like a cycle. and Its the waiting period before the new ones arrive Well maybe once Sd is gone, the Travelers will be gone, too. yeah since maybe the travelers are there because its Halla's way of balancing out SD Then again, Sd is a traveler himslef. Plus Nevva. It could also be the whole Ying and Yang thing going on ...Uhhh.
Explain, please.

Good and evil always trying to balance eachother and the travelers dissapearing as soon as SD does. A lot of these things were somehow based on prophecy if you think about it. I mean, how do they know who the next traveler will be? Well, maybe it is prophecy that Bobby's generation is supposed to finish off SD. Once SD is gone there will be no more travelers. Prophecy. But, what if they don't finish off SD? They would be wrong and there would be another generation. Good theory, no?

This point may have already been explained, but I'm going to say it anyway.
Unless the eighth book (which I have been unable to read as of yet) has changed the story line, it has already been explained that Bobby's generation of travelers is the last, meaning that once one dies, there will no longer be a flume on that territory. If Spader and Gunny don't find another way out, they will be trapped there forever.
However, I have a theory.
It probably won't work and I'm sure it's been introduced before, but it still might work.
They could use an acolyte ring to flume to whatever territory they can think of, that is assuming that it is possible for a human to fit in an acolyte flume. I also don't know if it would unbalance the flumes, making them collapse just like when Mark and Courtney used the flumes. That is a mystery.

You know what you're probably right that makes a lot of sense....I have read the 8th book and the plot hasn't changed so that generation is still the last...is that a spoiler? well if it is oops....but i agree with the earlier assumptions that DJ is buying time before he brings gunny and spader back. but does the ring there still work even though the traveler is dead?
