as I was with towns I am actually in the beta group for the new profile system
so I will give an opinion once I have had a chance to play with it a bit
In the meantime, I'll throw in my own opinion since I too am in beta. It's mostly garbage. I guess you can't really put too much stock into my view on it since I couldn't care less about profile customization. Hell, in all of the time I've been here, I haven't once had a signature (I should get a prize for that).
Yay, you can easily add different backgrounds, pictures, text, emotes, avatars and captions as well as drag and drop them all around. You have control over the placement of your friends list, comments, about etc etc between three columns and you can stack them in any order. Oh. Boy.
stare The beta is still pretty faulty, though as it picks and chooses when and when not to actually save my changes.
The only thing I can see caring about is the fact that you can trash anything you want. I imagine your profile could literally be an empty page. I can see myself trashing everything and leaving nothing but a big ol black background. Or a half naked woman. Either one.
