Israel snorted softly when he said that soup wasn't cooking. Anything that had to do with a stove or oven was cooking to her. She tasted the broth and smiled happily. "So good Nudo," she grinned and continued to eat slowly for a bit. When he mentioned he had been reading her magazines she grinned and gave him a look out of the corner of her eye.
"I told you. You find out some of the most interesting things in them. Especially the ones that Saki picks out. I like her taste though," she smiled as she ate some more soup. Thinking of her roommate for a moment, Is put her spoon down and looked over at Giani.
"How was Saki when you saw her? I was too groggy this morning to pay much attention," she asked, picking up a piece of bread and tearing off a piece. She suddenly wished that it was one of her father's grilled cheese sandwiches instead, but she wasn't going to complain. Giani had already gone to so much trouble.

Giani smirked at her nickname for him and looked down at his new attire. "I have learned that as a tall person I should wear kneelength skirts. So I think the soup spill worked to my advantage."
At Israel's question Giani thought back to his encounter with the small Japanese girl. It seemed so long ago. "Fine, I think ... I don't know her so well. She seemed happy." He paused and looked over to her. "She seemed maybe a little too happy, like she was faking it." He shrugged, he could have been reading into that. He really didn't know her at all. "Why do you ask?"

Israel leaned back against the wall and held onto the bowl of soup on her lap as she laughed at Giani's comment. Unfortunately it spurred a coughing fit, and she reached out for the bottle of water she had on her nightstand. Taking a sip she was able to calm down. As she took a second sip, she glanced over at Giani as he answered her question about Saki. Pursing her lips together, she screwed the lid back onto the bottle and shrugged.
"I don't know. She's been... different the last few days. I'm a little worried about her," she said, picking up her spoon. Sighing softly, she looked over at Giani with a small smile. "I was just curious how she seemed to you. It's probably just family stuff. Her brother is always getting on her case about stuff. It's probably nothing." She said the words, but almost didn't believe them. Saki had been unmistakably different. Sighing softly again, she looked back over at Giani.
"When do you think my painting will be done?" she asked with a smile.

Giani rubbed her arm as she calmed down from her coughing fit and listened to her speak. Not knowing the girl it was difficult to tell if she was different from normal. "There was one thing..." He said as he remembered her handing the magazines over. "It may be nothing, just she covered it up when she saw me looking. She had a nasty bruise on her wrist. Like..." He trailed off. He didn't want to make assumptions about a stranger. "It's probably nothing."
"You picture?" He asked, his smile returning. "Soon dolce, soon. But from now I don't want you to see it. I want the finished piece to be a suprise"

Is stirred the rest of her soup around as she listened to Giani and gave him another small smile. "Saki can be kinda vain. She may have just not wanted you to see it if it is a big bruise," she said, though the fact that Giani had thought to bring it up bothered her. It must have been really big to have been of notice like that. She took one more bite of soup and set her spoon down.
"Ugh! You like to torture me, don't you?" she grinned. "It was so beautiful only half done. I'm getting anxious to see it completed now," she smiled and shoved the tray down her lap a little.
"I'm stuffed. That was so good. You are officially in charge of cooking from here on out," she grinned and leaned over to kiss him on his cheek.

"You cannot rush art dolce. You should know that." He laughed picking up the tray and shifting forwards to place it on the floor. Smiling at the kiss she placed on her cheek he slipped his arm around her shoulder again and hugged her closer. "I can live with that. If you do not mind living off pasta and soup." He rested his head against hers for a moment and remembered something he had forgotten in the earlier drama.
"Oh, how does in two weeks sound?" He asked, moving to look at her. "To go and stay with my parents?"

"I know that. It doesn't make me any more patient," she grinned as he put the tray down on the floor. She leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder and laughed at the thought of only ever eating pasta and soup. "There are worse things to live off of I think," she smiled, reaching up to put the cool bottle of water on her face. She hated being sick so much. She pulled the bottle away and looked up at Giani with a bright smile.
"Two weeks?" That sounded so far and so soon at the same time. "I can't wait," she smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm really excited to meet them. I hope they have loads of embarassing baby stories to tell me," she smirked.

Giani laughed and ran his fingers up into her hair. "For that you need to speak to my mother. She will not shut up." He smirked as he played with her hair and yawned. "If I am extremely unlucky she will have photos of my crossdressing todler stage. When I used to go to work with her, the backstage girls used to like dressing me up."

Isreal closed her eyes as Giani slipped his hand up into her hair. It felt so good. She started to laugh again as he talked about his mother. "I really hope I get to see those. I think they would be very amusing to see," she grinned and snuggled closer to him.
"What are your parents like? I mean... what are they really like?. Like... my mom... she's a total snob and very two faced. Half of what she says to your face she doesn't mean," she said, tracing the tip of her finger around the edge of one of the buttons on his shirt.

"My mother?" He mused trying to think how best to discribe his mother. "She might scare you when you first meet her. She's flamboyant and she loves to hug people. She'll do that when you first meet her that I can promise. She calls me Marco, uh, she's very honest. Blunt some might say, being a Prima Dona she's used to telling people what she thinks and having little reaction."
He smiled and continued feeling her soft hair between his fingers. "My father, he is quieter, but very expressive. He might hug you too or do something silly like kiss your hand. He and my mother joke around a lot. They're affectionate people, uh. Oh, if my father goes silent, it's not because you have done something wrong but because he is thinking. He loves to talk about art of course and may get you to draw him something."
Having said that out in the open he frowned and looked up at the ceiling. "Heh, basically I live in a crazy house. My parents are insane."

"They sound absolutely wonderful," she smiled, resting her arm across his lap and shifting her head down onto his chest so she could listen to his heartbeat. She was glad he told her all of that. It was all very good to know beforehand. Now she was even more excited to meet his parents. They sounded like they were a lot of fun.
"Insanity is not always a bad thing," she smiled, closing her eyes again.

"That's good for me." He laughed shifting down so he was lying across the bed her head still on his chest. "The main thing is to be yourself. Despite their craziness they are very genuine people."

Is rested against Giani for a moment, then sat up quickly and grabbed a tissue as she began to sneeze. When she finished she sniffed and looked down at him with a small smile. "Good. I like genuine people," she said, tossing the tissue into the waste basket near her nightstand. She then threw herself back, her head landing on her pillow.
"Ugh... I hate being sick. It's not any fun. Though I am very glad you came to see me," she smiled and turned her head to look over at him. "I had just been thinking how nice it would be to snuggle up with you, and then you appeared," she laughed softly, giving a small shiver and reaching for her blankets.

"Well," He said moving to lie down next to her. "In that case we have no choice."
Taking the blanket from her hands he tucked it around the both of them. "I think I have been close to you for long enough that, if I will get sick. I will get sick." He smiled and pulled her close to him. "Maybe you should try and get some more sleep."

"I'm already way ahead of you Nudo," she yawned and curled up against him, resting her head on his chest. "Thank you for everything," she said softly, her eyes closed and her arm draped over him. After only a few minutes of listening to his heartbeat and breathing, she was fast asleep again.~~~ Fade to Indigo ~~~
