wow, I haven't heard of anything by the Clash in a long time... can't say I listen to them... doesn't mean I may not like a mini-exposure but too much would addle meh brain I think

Well, I believe they are considered a punk band but I don't know if I'd really call what they did punk rock, at least by today's standards.
Aoife: I like mini-exposure to music. That way it stays fresh and I don't get burned out on or addicted to any one genre.

Explains why I don't know them. I don't like punk really ^_^
The Clash were an original punk band... real punk from the 80's. The new stuff they have today are neo punk a hardcore subgenre inspired by real punk rock. 3nodding I'm not saying it's not good, I'm just saying that's not what the genre was named after.

Those are the big three of punk rock.
