Who here wants to talk about GOD? I have some words of GOD..I got most of this information from the last BIBLE study I had last Saturday..okay..Theology..It's the study of GOD..so here are some guides of what YOU will respond when someone who is non-christian, and you'd either say..
GOD is (a/an)..
-savior
-love
-creator
-almighty
-powerful
-compassion
-peace
-merceful
-grace
-mercy
-great
You can think of all those words, but..what is GOD? You just gave descriptions..but you didn't tell that person what GOD really is..GOD is Trinity..he is The Father, The Son, and The HOLY Spirit (H.S.) GOD is also santification. Which means he who is not HOLY, shall be HOLY..that means, if you're a christian, and you don't often talk to me, I (GOD) will do process to make you become a REAL christian..he wants those of you who are "BAD" out there that are christians to become good.. He is omni-potent..which means GOD is ALL Powerful. He can do anything that is possible. GOD is omni-present. It means that he's everywhere. He is everywhere. I mean..even when you're in the shower. He is watching you, every move you make..he is watching you.. I mean..everytime you try to run away from him, he is always there right behind you..he is EVERYWHERE.. GOD is also omni-science..he is all knowing.. That means he knows whatever what you do, it's a sin..or a good thing..he always knows whether something goes wrong, or something bad is going to happen. That's because he planned out your life.. GOD is last, but not least, is omni-loving..he is unconditional.. He is loving..he will always love you no matter what..like he did for Moses, in the book of Exedous in the HOLY BIBLE..he gave his power to Moses.. He wanted Moses to let his people go.. but Moses wouldn't believe that, he thought that no one would believe him..but GOD told him, just say the words, "I am, Who I am..".. and so Moses did.

Ok god isn't a savor.
God is our god,he helps people,but Jesus Christ is our Savor.

You kinda got it. But nick is right. God is our father and creator. Jesus the Christ is our savior who paid for our sins and everyone elses on the cross. And theology is the study of religion, not God. But everything else in there is right. Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnilevolent (all-loving).

Also, God moves in our lives through the Holy Spirit i believe...could be wrong, but i'm quite sure thas right. Think of it this way, its a metaphor made up by tertullian, an ancient christian scholar.
The trinity is like a river.
The River has a source, and from this soure the river flows out, this is God, the creator. Then the river flowing out to sea, this is The Son, in that he came down and spread the word of God. Then theres the flwoing of the river itself, flwoing into creeks and streams, this is the Holy spirit, moving through out the world. i might have mixed sum stuff up, but its along those lines. lol
God is our creator, and almighty Father
Jesus Christ is our savior.
And the Holy spirit guides us...i think...lol need to look back in the book again...lol

secretofreyn You kinda got it. But nick is right. God is our father and creator. Jesus the Christ is our savior who paid for our sins and everyone elses on the cross. And theology is the study of religion, not God. But everything else in there is right. Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnilevolent (all-loving). God is the savior too, as is the Holy Ghost. why? because they are three persons but one in the SAME. Jesus was titled mainly savior because he walked about physically on the earth with mankind. He is savior because he was sent by his father to "save" us from our sins. But you can be a savior in other ways, as in "saving" in general. God saves us from Hell, at least those he chooses. God saves us from ourselves, from things that we CANT handle...etc....etc..

as far as WE know, God is the only existing being in "existence". he says there is no one beyond him, so it must be true. He is a powerful being that created us. he is the life giver to mankind, he is one in three beings, three beings in one.
he is the alpha and the omega (beginning and end)

This is a cool story bout what happend to me and a friend.
So This past easter.
Me "Hello tori,happy easter thats if you beleave in god and christ"
Tori "I dont beleave in a god or christ"
Me "Why?"
Tori "its stupid,I mean there may have been a jesus but theres not a god"
Me "well if i prove some stuff to you,will you think bout beleaving?"
Tori "I wouldnt see why it would hurt go head"
Me "Well to start off look out your window,what do you see?"
Tori "A bird and A tree and sky and the light of the sun"
Me "there you have it,you have saw god"
Tori "I didnt see no man or anything"
Me"No but you did see god's creation,his people,it is said everything was created after the big bang,now you didnt see gods creation but you saw gods process if you will,how we came to be"
Tori "Ok I see now go on"
Me "Ok now for jesus,Jesus was a real man,he preached and everthing you hear bout him is true,he was a healer,he did arise from the tomb"
Tori "Well I will need some time"
Now she is half convinced,I still have to do a little work but so far so good,

EXCEPT...There is such a thing as the trinity (or should I say such a belief). That means the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are 3 seperate beings, and yet they are also one; hence the Trinity. I agree with Kel2665; she has the right idea. Jesus and God are one; so they are both the Holy Spirit.

Thats why people come up with such crazy thoreys like me and bout the creation of the Univeres.
