I just can't seem to get to 40, all of my characters have gone to the bored level around 35. Even my druid at 33 is starting to get boring. Are there any good instances that are not Scarlet Monastary? I hate that place because if you wipe after an hour or so, you fight the respawns. gonk
Some of the questions I have are - What are some good instances I can do? Where should I grind or quest? What can I do for fun while still leveling? How did you get to 40? Should I put 11 of my talent points into Omen of Clarity for a feral spec? Does the Thick Hide talent give you armor in Caster Form?

Razorfen Kraul and Gnomeregan are good for that level. However, Gnomer can really suck if you die. And never jump down to the ooze room from the entrance. EVER. It's a terrible plan. You can't even count the mobs that will aggro on you.
I always loved doing Shimmering Flats. Lots of nice quests in there and then they send you all over. Plus despite what everyone else thinks I LOVED STV. Sure it takes forever to run across the whole damn thing, but there was great questing and it can keep you busy into your 40s.
A lot of people liked Desolace. Hate there personally.
If you haven't already you could start on battlegrounds. PvP's not my thing, but you may find some interest in it.
Mmm... how I got to 40. I did quests mostly. I always enjoy questing. >.> Never really ran too many instances. I also spent time on both my 40+ characters farming materials to make money for mounts. Oh the days when kingsblood was worth 9g per stack...

Desolace is good if you're on a PVP server 'cause Stranglethorn Vale is hell. But there's SM and Gnomer... there's RazorFen Downs and even Uldaman if you've got a good group.
There's Dustwallow Marsh, if you don't mind grinding a lot. Arathi Highlands, a few quests there. Badlands, maybe. Swamp of Sorrows, maybe and mostly grinding if you're Alliance.
And that's all I can think of.. and have looked up a tad.
For fun, I like running into low levels instances... see how far I can get in Deadmines or ShadowFang Keep... SFK is so much better than Stocks. I can't believe it took me so long to find it. lol

FenrisVollmond and even Uldaman if you've got a good group. Oh dear God no... I ran it as a 43 on my warrior with everyone else was 38-40. It was a nightmare and made me NEVER want to go back. Sadly I did for alchemy training. Let me say, a level 35 can do ok up to about Ironya... but after that they're pretty useless unless you're a healer. The 44s were hell. Wait on Uld until like 40, please, for the sanity of the tank...
Oh yah, Swamp of Sorrows. Love that place. <3 It's always deserted.

On Ulda... by good group, I meant finding at least one person who's 60. It's an aight instance just... well... hard as hell when you have a newb like me in the group who uses the staff on the stone that unleashes the giant whilst everyone is still fighting the adds around the room... yeah. That was fun. *manic laugh*
I got stuck at 32 for the longest time on my main... I spent 38 - 40 grinding in Dustwallow killing the turtles/tortoises on the shore near Theramore and cursing anyone (usually one person, sometimes two) who was in the same area also killing them because they never looted the corpse so that I could skin it.. bastards.
Swamp of Sorrows I didn't spend a lot of time in, I just know the level range.
And Sunken Temple, when you're of a level for it and you definetly are not at the moment, is a ton of fun. Best instance run evah in that one.

When I hit 35 with my mage I ran part of Uld with a 60 pally. Was still hard. I pulled so much aggro and got wasted by some golem boss. He like one shotted me. gonk
Being run through an instance isn't as much fun though as running it with a competent group of your own level. Notice the word competent. Running with a sucky pug doesn't count.

Well, I am 35 now, and just doing instances seems to be good. I guess SM isn't that bad, I just had a few bad times.

I have had some of the worst pugs imaginable. And then some just plain funny ones. Like the mage in my last scholo run that kept sheeping the stuff I sapped. rofl We should of MCd them to be safe as one guildie pointed out.
The Draenei quests in Swamp of Sorrows are really cool and I think the horde gets a good ammount of quests in the town there. Dustwallow Marsh might have some quests. Though I think a lot of them have to do with the elites unfortunately.

Soppon I have had some of the worst pugs imaginable. And then some just plain funny ones. Oh the time the times! I ran a ZF group once and spent four hours doing nothing. Seriously...nothing...
I'd say something like running Razorfen Downs at your level. It's a little high for you if you are a warrior or pally, but otherwise if you know your char you can do well if you have a good tank. Plus it's a fun instance. Mosh pit!

ScarletElegance Oh the time the times! I ran a ZF group once and spent four hours doing nothing. Seriously...nothing... I spent 6 hours in BRD. Everyone else had to go repair at least once. We had a 52 druid, paladin that thought they were a warrior, a fury warrior with a 14% crit chance and a healadin and I was the only 60. Omfg... We got to the bar, and then the druid wiped the group and I hearthed and left because I was tired and sick.
And yah, the mosh pit room is sweet. You need a warrior with Ravager for that. Bawhawhaw. Double procced its effect and pretty much solod the room at 39. rofl One of my greatest moments ever playing WoW.

I like SM! biggrin Played that one at lvl 24 with my shaman. rofl
Me and my friend (and UD rogue, lvl 47 at that time) was gonna try to solo just for fun. Some whiny guys wanted him to join and he was like "Let Cerkal join too, and I'm in." It was like really funny. xd I was the healer since I couldn't hit them very good. (All mobs was ?? for me => miss, miss, miss...)
