This thread is a journal for Blade only, don't post here unless he states otherwise. Growth points: 0/65 Growth points: 0/65 News: Nov. 7th, 09~ Blade's new dragon has arrived! Welcome, Azmat. Jan. 27th, 09~ Seika has grown! November 10th, 08~ Seika has disappeared! June 15th, 06~ Blade's dracling has arrived! June 13th, 06~ Blade recieved his goblet and this journal was opened. **Just a little something to get you started. What you write in this journal is up to you, though it should involve you rping that you're interacting with your dragon. First though, you have to get your dragon. Write a little story/description of a dream you've had or just one you've made up. I'll read this and use it to design your dragon. Please, don't say anything about the dragon itself, just the dream. Once I post in here with your dragon, you're free to keep posting whatever you want. About Seika:This little girly has flames for a mane running down her long, serpentine body. A kanji of fire glows against her side, a small scar adorning her cheek. There is astounding strength in that lithe body, as well as an incredible elasticity and suppleness. She can even grow or shrink as she desires, making herself the perfect size for any place she occupies, or any task she does. About Mulan:Orchid- This female is gifted with flight-capable wings. Her body secretes a sticky/tacky substance that also seems to have a slight fragrance to it. It is believed she uses this to attract insects and consume them, but no one has watched her do so at this point. The tuft of fur around her neck are mostly decorative, but she may sometimes bury her face to breathe through it when flying at higher altitudes. She is very small and it is believed she might only mature to be the size of a dog! About Azmat:This boy has steel growing from his spine! And whicked sharp it is too. It has all the properties of steel, can be sharped and polished and heated. He's also quite an acrobatic little thing... fast as a flash and capable of leaping great distances. Scaled like a snake, he's most physically comfortable where its dry and warm.

Sitting down, Blade glanced down at the goblet for some time. He wasn't entirely sure if he really wanted to drink its contents, but he soon shrugged off that feeling. Once he was done, it didn't take long before he could feel its effects.
So with a yawn, he quickly drifted off to sleep.
Walking through what seemed like a neverending darkness, Blade paused for a moment. From the look on his face, and the way he was gripping onto his sword, it appeared that he was in persuit of someone, or something. His dark clothing was tattered, as if he had been through several tough battles with them.
Shaking his head, the young man began to sprint once more when he thought he knew where his target was. It was hard to see anything in the nearly pitch black area though.
But soon, he paused again when he noticed something glow from beneathe him. He glanced down to see a bright red kanji character for fire. Narrowing his eyes at this, he stepped back, but was stopped by a large wall of flames. It circled around him, trapping him in the middle.
Now, being a dragon decendant to some extent, he had gained some immunity to fire. And yet for some reason, there was something that kept him from just waltzing right through the wall of flames.
Suddenly, a sharp object flew at him, slicing him across the left cheek. Though, that seemed to be the only attack that his enemy made, for nothing else came.
Blade gritted his teeth as he watched for any other dangers that may come. But the only thing that happened now, was the circle of flame dying down. Eventually, nothing was left of the blaze, save for many red hot embers. These embers soon lifted up into the air, and scattered in all directions, making it seem that Blade now stood in a sky full of red stars...
He shook his head as he woke up at this moment. It was an odd dream alright, but he just shrugged it off for now. Though, he brought up a hand to feel his cheek as he felt a slight sting there. There wasn't anything there though. Shaking his head, he just got up and walked away.
((Note: The 'dragon decendant' thing is just a fact on my main character, and nothing else.))

A few days have passed since Blade drank the contents of the strange goblet. And since he had the dream that was caused by it, he hadn't dreamt at all until now.
In contrast to his previous dream, he was now in a fairly visable place. It was a semi-rocky area, and a smoking volcano could be seen in the distance. Small particles of ash blew with the wind as well. Though despite being in this somewhat grim area, there really wasn't anything that posed as a threat.
Still, he looked around to see just where he was and if anything alive as nearby.
"Looking for something?"
Jumping at the sudden voice, Blade turned around to see who it was, but saw no one.
"Over here, silly."
Seeing a small head out of the corner of his red eyes, he turned his head slightly to see a small, serpent-like creature sitting on his shoulder. When it had gotten there, was what he wanted to know. And because of her small size right now, he didn't quite realize that she was a wyrm.
Though judging by the grin she had, it seemed she was a bit happy to see him.
"Who are you?"
The small wyrm 'hopped' off of his shoulder and onto the ground, where he could get a better look at her. And quite frankly, her appearance reminded him a lot of that other dream he had.
"The name's Seika, and I'm your dragon! Now what's with the funny look, Blade? I know you've seen a wyrm before."
Now this was just getting more awkward by the minute. And the fact that Seika soon grew to her true size, just added to that.
Some time passed, and the young wyrm had been explaining a few things to the human. It was just some basic information about the dream world and things of that calibur.
"So that's how things went. You had a dream, it called me too you, and now we're partners in a way."

Once more in the rather volcanic area of Almahat, Blade wandered around slightly, searching for his dragon. He had just entered the realm moments ago, so he wasn't entirely sure where she was exactly. Though, he knew she couldn't be too far away. So he climbed onto a semi-scorched ledge, causing a part of the world's crust to cave in, revealing a rather molten pool of lava underneathe.
Quickly regaining his balance as falling into the magma would definitely be an unpleasant experience, even if the heat might not hurt him.
"You need to be more careful Blade. Wouldn't want anything to happen to you."
Turning around, the thief saw his little wyrm a few feet behind him. Where she had come from, was what he wanted to know. Shaking his head, he moved away from the small ledge and its lava and walked over to Seika.
"I have a question for you. If I can come into this world, can you come into mine?" he asked.
For a moment, the wyrm tilted her head to the side and thought about the question. After that, she shook her head slightly.
"No. Well at least not now. I've heard of some dragons being able to enter your world, but it could be awhile before I can do something like that myself. Why do you ask?"
"Ah, just curious really. I know some dragons at home that you'd probably get along with. Haven't really talked to anyone about this whole thing though."
Nodding in understandment, Seika soon gave a bit a grin before starting to slither off. She said, "Well enough of this, come on! I wanna show you around!"

After a rather long night, it was time to turn in and rest. In his weariness, he just grabbed the 'cup' on the nightstand and took a sip. Blinking, Blade realized it was a goblet, much like the one he had drank from the night he had the dream that called Seika. Shrugging off the fact, he placed it down on the night stand and drifted off to sleep.
Rather than entering Almahat as he normally would have, Blade found himself in... an actual dream. Seika was nowhere to be seen here. In fact, no one could be seen as far as he could tell.
The thief stood in the center of a rolling field. The sun shone brightly and the sky was as clear as it could possibly be. He could hear birds chirping in the distance, though he saw none of the avians around. Looking around, he saw one tree close by. Being the only other thing in the field, he felt gravitated towards it.
Upon closer inspection, he saw several orchids blossoming from the branches of the lone tree. The leaves and branches swayed in the wind, making the tree almost seem like a living, breathing entity that had the mind of its own. It was not hostile in any manner though, and it even bestowed its visitor a gift.
Slowly, a small orchid floated down from its perch and into Blade's hands. Just as the flower made contact, the dream ended and morning had come.

The next night, Blade found himself taking a trip to Almahat as usual. There, he found Seika who seemed to be staring at something nearby. Upon taking a closer look, he found that it was a rather small dragon flying around. There was something familiar about her as well.
"The orchid..." he mused as he remembered the dream from the night before. It seemed that the tree had gifted him something a little more than a normal orchid blossom.
Upon hearing his voice, both dragons turned their attention onto the human. Seika remained where she laid, though the small wing wyrm flew up towards him. The flower-like dragon was about the size of a rat currently, so she was dwarfed by Seika for the most part.
"You must be Blade," she said while bowing in mid air "I am Mulan. It is an honor to finally meet you."
"Hm... so she's like a sister to me right? Man, for family we don't look much alike," commented Seika while peering at the new dracling, "But I like her! You know, I've always kinda wondered what it'd be like to have a little sister. Good thing I can change size too and all."
Blade let out a small laugh before nodding to the winged wyrm.
"Nice to meet you as well, Mulan," he said before turning his attention towards Seika, "You know... one thing you have in common... neither of you two have arms or legs."
"There ain't nuthin' wrong with that! I wouldn't want legs or whatever anyway. Too easy to fall over."
Mulan giggled at the comment before perching herself on the human's head. Her tail helped her keep a hold there. And thus started a new member was added to this odd little family.

One day, while Blade was still in the waking world, the two 'sisters' were spending a good deal of quality time with one another. Normally Seika would get a little lonely when the thief was not in Almahat, so this was a nice change to things to have the younger dracling around.
And to help make her not seem quite so large compared to the tiny winged wyrm, she had shrunk her body to be a little closer to how Mulan was. She might not have been able to fly like the other dragon, but she was content with her own abilities. That aside, Seika much preferred having a good hold onto the ground.
"Mulan, what exactly do you like to eat? I don't think I've seen you eat anything before..." she said, tilting her head as she did.
The younger dragon was peering at a flower on the ground when her older sister drew her attention. With a shy smile, she flew closer towards the fiery wyrm.
"Well... I like fruits..." she started.
"Is that all you eat? Well no wonder you're so small! You need to get some good protein in you and stuff like that."
With a light chuckle, Mulan shook her head. She was a bit too shy to admit that she also ate insects, worrying that the other dragon may look down on on her or thinking that it was gross to do so. So for now she said nothing on that particular matter.
"Oh no it's fine really! I don't really like the taste of red meat a whole lot... and besides I'm not a very good hunter," she added humbly.
Seika considered this for a moment. Mulan seemed to be extremely docile so it was a bit hard imagining her taking down any living creature. Perhaps a vegetarian lifestyle suited the winged wyrm moreso than she initially believed.
"Well! If you ever have a craving for some meat lemme know. And your big sister will take care of it; no sweat!"

Insomnia. Something that most people do not care for. Blade was no exception to this. For the past week or so, he had been having trouble sleeping. Because of that, he had failed to enter the dream realm for awhile. Surely at this point his dragon friends were worried about him, or at least wondered where he was.
One night, he was looking for some ways he might be able to get a good night's rest for once. After a bit of thought, he decided to try and drinking from the goblet once again. Both times he had done it in the past, he found himself sleep soon afterwards. Of course, it also called forth a dragon, but perhaps it would be different this time around. So he did just that, and as expected he was slumbering peacefully on his bed.
He opened his eyes and saw something he did not expect. It was not a dark room, nor was it a volcanic area or any part of Almahat, nor was it a field of flowers amongst nature. No. He was perched high above in a bell tower, in the middle of an ancient city, Jerusalem. Peering down, he saw a few stalls where merchants sold their goods, people strolling about the streets, as well as several soldiers that helped keep the peace. Over all, the city thrived with life.
More importantly at this point, he saw a bale of hay far below. After taking a look around at the vast city, he leaned forward and dove from the perch. His heart raced as as he plummeted towards the ground, and before he knew it he had landed rather safely in the hay. Who would have thought something so simple would save him from such a fall?
Rolling out of the bale, he dusted off a few lingering straws before rushing towards the wall and scaling it with relative ease. From there he ran and leaped from roof to roof, as he made his way to his destination. He had a mission to carry out, if he recalled correctly. The window of opportunity to carry it out was dwindling as well, so he hurried to the market where the target was said to be.
Soon enough, he saw the man he needed within his sights. Slowly, he crouched down at the edge of the roof and watched the one he needed. The man was adorned in relatively nice clothing; robes that would soon be stained with blood if he could help it. Carefully, he made his way to the ground and casually approached the man. Once he was within arm's reach, he grabbed the man and drove the hidden blade in his bracer into his back side. Pulling it out, he quickly looked around, seeing a number of angry soldiers rushing at him. Not wanting to waste time with the lot, he turned to run, glancing down to see flecks of blood staining his white attire.
He hurried back to the rooftops, hoping to slow down his pursuers. A good hiding spot would be needed as soon as possible to avoid prolonging the chase. To his surprise, the guards seemed to be just as nimble and athletic as he, as the chase ensued throughout Jerusalem, leaping great-superhuman distances from one spot to another. His heart raced, in a similar fashion to when he dove from the bell tower. Then, it all stopped.
Walls encased him, none with any sort of good footing for him to be able to scale. Turning around, he saw the guards, all looking to make him pay for his act with his own blood. He armed himself quickly, to defend himself from his chasers. But all his athleticism and skill seemed to leave him. He saw the men move to strike, but he couldn't move. He saw ever last second; up to the blade that was just about to plunge into his hea-
Shooting awake, Blade huffed and looked at the time. Drenched in cold sweat, he looked at the time, only to find that a few hours had passed. With a groan, he flopped back onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. Drinking from the goblet did not help, nor was it all too good of an idea he realized.
((Not completely accurate to my dream but I couldn't remember all of it... I've been playing too much Assassin's Creed lately I think. >.>; ))

The dragons were indeed worried about their human friend. They really had no way of knowing what was going on with him while his consciousness remained in the waking world after all. The two wondered then, what would happened if Blade were to ever lose his life. Would they too, vanish?
"I'm sure he's alright... He's no wimp, I'll tell ya that."
Mulan wasn't entirely convinced. As far as she knew, Blade was a thief, meaning he probably led a relatively dangerous life. He might have been caught or something along those lines.
"Maybe..." she said while trailing off some. In her worry, she also wondered just why the man stole. Thieves were bad people, as far as she knew. But he didn't seem all too bad at all. Then again, she hadn't had much time to spend with him to know much but she would rather not believe that he was a terrible person.
"No maybes! He'll be back with us soon enough I think," said Seika with a nod. Despite the front she put up, she had some doubts of his welfare in her heart as well. The guy had never been away this long, so she had to wonder what was going on exactly.

"Another seven suns have come and gone... You don't think.. it has something to do with me do you..?"
Unsettled, Mulan had perched herself on a low branch of a tree. She had her tail coiled around the branch. While the hold was firm, her apprehension was apparently from the slight twitching at its tip. Even though she had barely spent any time with the human, she was very much worried for his welfare. His disappearanced happened relatively soon after she had arrived, making her wonder a few things. The feelings of unease spoiled her appetite as well.
Seika could tell that much, even if she never actually saw the younger dracling eat. The poor girl had begun to thin, as far as she could see.
"Of course not! You did nothing wrong Mulan... so don't you worry your pretty little head ok? Like I said, he will be back. And I'm sure he'll explain just what was going on."
While she smiled as she spoke, it was faint. She didn't want to have to worry about her new sister as well as Blade. So ideas started to churn through her mind, to try and find ways she could help. There wasn't a whole lot she could do about Blade's absence, but she could at least try to relieve some of the winged wyrm's stress.
"Hey... why don't we try and take our minds off of it with a game of hide and seek?"
"I don't kn-"
"Come on! It'll be fun! I'll even let ya go hide first! Just no cheating and staying in the air or something like that ok?" Seika urged with a wider smile.
Mulan looked down at the fiery wyrm before nodding, "Alright. But please do not scold me if you can't find me!"
