nope. I don't like to watch sports... live and especially on tv.
I like playing however...
and I don't have a tv... but I know they are playing... cause everyone is like WOOT france scored... or Italy scored!.... silly people... rolleyes

Ditto. I like playing, but not much as to watching.
Although, when I went downstairs to eat lunch.. it was on TV. XD My dad and uncle like watching it. And then I saw Zidane (he was in my French book =D) headbutt that guy. And laughed.

Zidane's Headbutt pwned cool wink though he's an idiot to end his career like that >>; I believe France could've taken it if Zidane was still on for those last minutes AND if he took the Penalty France would've had a better chance >>;
Well, Italy wins (5 : 3) in PSO I've really got not much to say xD cuz I didn't want Italy to win XD I kinda blame Zidane but not really, PSOs can always go either way ... not to mention Barthez (French Keeper) kinda sucked >>; and it was just by that one miss by Trezeguet.
O well, that's the end to the 2006 World Cup and Italy are the champs ... unfortunately XDD so that's a total of 4 World Cup titles for Italy and another Gold Star stitched on their kits wink
XD they cut off Camoranesi top-knot xDDD u___u;

In other news, I read from one of the bajillion communities I hover over on Livejournal that Zidane may have had a good reason to HEADBUTT the guy >>;

Well guys, it looks like Zidane has given an explanation to his giving of the "Marseille Handshake" to Materazzi; xD the headbutt.

I tried not to listen to him but he kept repeating them," Zidane said in a live interview on French television channel Canal Plus. "This was not something to do. I want to make it clear because it was watched by two billion people and by millions of kids," Zidane said. "I want to apologise to them but I can't regret what I did because it would mean that he (Materazzi) was right to say what he said."
But also due to the headbutt, it is reported that Zidane may be stripped of the Golden Ball (MVP of the Tournement) Award confused

In other news, French coach Raymond Domenech has signed on to continue his job while Italian coach Marcello Lippi has stepped down from his position. Also, Juergen Klinsmann, who coached Germany to a third-place finish at the World Cup, stepped down Wednesday and was replaced by his assistant, Joachim Loew.

Well guys, I'd like to close my little World Cup thread now that all controversies surrounding the final have come to a close. The Zidane-Materazzi headbutt incident has been resolved. Quote: FIFA's disciplinary committee made the ruling (Zidane's three match ban) Thursday and also banned Materazzi for two matches for his part in the incident, which occurred in extra time of Italy's 5-3 penalty shootout victory over France on July 9 in Berlin. Zidane's three-match ban is purely symbolic as the Frenchman retired from soccer after the World Cup final. In light of his retirement, the midfielder will perform community service on FIFA's behalf instead. Zidane has pledged to do three days of community service work with children and youngsters as part of FIFA's humanitarian activities Zidane and Materazzi were also fined 7,500 and 5,000 Swiss francs (about $6,800 Cdn and $4,550 Cdn), respectively.
