Has anyone here ever been or attend Gay support groups?
If so, what are they like? I live near the gay capital of the world, [Rehobeth Beach, Delaware] and there is tons around here but I have yet to go to one. Do you find them helpful?

I've never been to one, but...
Isn't San Francisco the Gay Capital? Of the nation or world, I'm not sure, haha. But I always thought it was. :/

Well. ^_^; I, on occasions, will go to the local one here (in louisville). It's kind of boring though. I mean, not that many people show up. ._. Usually we will sit in a circle and talk about a chosen topic. Such as: Harassment in public places, STDS, Gay Terminology (XD Slang used to denounce the homosexual community), Relationships, etc.
But on days where we can't think of a topic we have a "Social" o_o Where we just hang out?
Basically.. It's boring. But I go for my lover.

I wish I could go to 'pride meetings'....but I don't think they have any in my area. I think the closest place would be Philidelphia... *sighs*

Does this count? I went to the GSA meetings in highschool, and we usually sat around for half an hour talking about The L Word.

I went to one not long ago with my boyfriend (he's bi). It was fun, we had about two hours worth of discussion, they had food and we watched some episodes of Queer As Folk and The L Word.

I had a GSA, but it desolved....

Merry-Go-Round_Rape. Has anyone here ever been or attend Gay support groups?

The closest thing to a support group I've been to is the area wide GSA meetings. Does that count? I don't even know if my town has actual support groups. I should ask around about that....
