Austin was still screaming. He began clutching his head, but it wasnt the memories that were hurting him, it was something else. "I... I can hear them...."

"Hear what?!"

"Voices.... desires.... to kill......"

"Listen to me! You've got to fight it."

"Thats just it.... I shouldn't even.... be able to fight it..... once you're a vampire..... you're evil...... no choice....... you're evil...." He didnt know whether or not he was controlling the pain, or if he had just gotten used to it, but somehow he was able to sit back up, without screaming this time. "I.... I don't know whats going on. This has never happened to any vampire I've seen before."

Alyssa coughed. She still didn't know his magical past. "You've seen vampires before?"

He looked up at her, trying to smile. "I've got a lot of explaining to do... but for now I think I just need to ---" He stopped, noticing the sun in the sky. Franticly, he looked around, checking his hands and face. He knew that vampires couldnt stand the sun. "This is new." He wasn't bursting into flames, he didn't even feel any pain, from the sun at least...

Another thought occured to him. "How come you never told me you were a witch?"

"Well, for one thing I had no idea you knew about magic. Its a general rule of mine not to tell a guy that on the first date."

"Well, I probably would of freaked out. For some reason I just got back my real memories, and I actually dont think I knew about magic when when we first started going out. I dont know how to explain what has just happened, but I think someone gave me false memories and made me think I had always been mortal... but I remember........... everything?."

"What was that about?"

"I... I think I have someone else's memories as well. I.... I think I gained something from the Seer... yeah, I think she's the one who did this to me. And... I think I accidentally gained some of her memories.... Cool." He laughed.

"Well, I'm a vampire thats not bursting into flames when in the sun, I lost my memories, and just gained them back + some of the Seer's memories, and I have this digging urge to bite any living thing that gets near me..." He looked up at Alyssa, who seemed upset by that last part. "Dont worry, I wont."

"Hi Alyssa. As he said, I'm Brook." She told Alyssa evenly with a small smile. "I didn't mean vampire-ism or how it was working with you. I meant after you died, or well um- yea... sorry about that." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. "That wasn't intentional- I didn't know you were in the water." She told him, seriously. She knew how she felt about Austin, but considering she killed him, she kept her distance.

"I'll gladly put that behind us, but technically aren't you undead?" She asked him, considering the fact that he was some kind of version of a vampire only with a soul. "It doesn't matter. Never mind." She muttered, rubbing her hands together as she usually did when she was nervous.

Brook put her hands behind her back, still wringing her fingers. She knew Austin would more then likely recognize her nanerisms. She bit her lip and looked over at Alyssa, before glancing back at the ground. "Are you two a couple?" She asked Austin, awkwardly.

"We were a couple a while back." She told her, evenly. She blocked off her emotions completely as well as any thoughts she may have had. She didn't know what Alyssa's powers were, but she wasn't going to give anything away. "There was some unfinished business last time he was in town, but since he died and lost his memories, there's really nothing left for us to talk about." She told Austin, looking away from Austin and Alyssa.

"I knew him back when he was helping with an attempt to destroy the world." She told Alyssa. "But, I don't imagine you two have talked about that." She added, shaking her head. "Anyway, I'd better go. You two obviously have a lot to discuss." She said, turning around and walking towards the nearest alley.

Brook darkorbed back to Matt's lair, mumbling curses under her breath. She wasn't exactly charming when it came to matters of jealousy. Usually she plotted to destroy which wouldn't work if Austin truly cared about Alyssa.
