I must sound like a fool. But I don't know where else to go. The people here seem helpful and knowledgeable because of experience of their own. I just have a quick question, and like everyone else I'm not sure if this even goes on here.
If you decide to have an abortion. Do your parents have to go with you? Do you have to be 18 to get one on your own? Is there any possibly way of getting an abortion without having to take your parents in with you?

Depends on your state. Usually there's an age where you can consent to it yourself, without your parents' knowledge, typically lower than 18. If you're older than 14, there's a decent shot your parents don't have to know, 16, a pretty good shot. I think there's only a few states that say if you're younger than 18 your parents have to know. I don't know which states, though. You probably should do some research on your own state.

It really depends on the state that you live in/ or country. If you tell us what state you are from, we are more able to help you find the information that you are looking for.

You need to ask at your local planned parenthood location. IN Canada you have to be 14. The main reason for the age limmits is because of the age of concent, if you are younger than the age of concent then it was rape (legaly) and your parents need to know.
If you are over the legal age of concent in your state you should be o.k.
