Athal I believe that someone will still resist whatever it gets through in US or not(currently, we have a debate against Pirate Bay and its use where I live. ninja ) Pirate Bay is perfectly legal in Finalnd/Sweden/Norway, because they have the right idea, and there are no laws governing intellectual property.
Actors/Musicians have so many cute hissy-fit battles against Pirate Bay but keep losing.

I seriously doubt this Law will be passed. Laws require votes and no one in their right mind who isn't some over-protective imbecile mom would vote for this. Besides, downloading music is illegal, people still do it. So that means there will always be a loop hole.

I heard something about this...
I heard something else though too, like Microsoft is granting companies the right to access our computers if we download a program from them. Like.. you download a word processing program, ie./ Word [because it can be downloaded if one doesn't have it] and then you write out a huge school report on this program explaining why you think the Bush government should go to hell. The company who made this program can monitor this, and DELETE IT IF THEY WISH.
Yeah... only affecting Vista. Don't get Vista. Stick with XP or go for Mac.
