I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm not getting a response from the regular forums.

Use 'levels' adjustment layer to get rid of the paper-glare.
I don't think it needs any shading myself, but if you want to- play around with the airbrush tool I guess. Try different opacity levels.
