You probably all know this but they all the members except Toshiya were in a band call La:Sadie's. They broke up, the bassist Kisaki left, and they recruited Toshiya and made DEATHMASK. After a show in Nagano, apparently, they changed their name to Dir en grey.

Either we can have DEATHMASK day, or a day on the date which DEATHMASK changed their name to Dir en grey.
