I'm surprized to see talk about Fantasy books without talking about Dragonlance >.>
I'm just at the end of the 'Legends' trilogy and I wanted to know what people thought of them

I enjoy the series. I still own a few of the books...they are one of my constant rereads, along with the Deathgate Cycle, also by Weis and Hickman.

Weis and Hickman are my favorite authors of all time. I'm constantly re-reading my Dragonlance books, the Deathgate Cycle, and The Darksword Trilogy.

Holy crap, I can't believe there's a Dragonlance thread. I started reading Dragonlance 20 years ago when it first came out. I love these books. I've re-read the first trilogy so many times the covers wore off and I had to buy new ones. They were the first fantasy-world books I ventured into and they have remained my favorites. Yay to see other fans!

Heh, I read the Chronicles Trilogy back in middle school, then the Twins Trilogy shortly after. When I got to college and started making money, I brought most of them. Now I live on my own so I try to find the rest of the older books on Ebay and Amazon. The earlier books were probably the best. The more recent stuff post Chaos Wars has been alright but hard to equal or come close to the earlier books. I want to know if anyone will write any books about Paladine's adventures since becoming mortal...
I also know about the animated Dragonlance movie that will be coming out so we should try to support it so they put out all 3 of the Chronicles Trilogy, then maybe the Twins Trilogy as animated movies.

Yay to see other fans! Thank you! Now I don't feel so old. Dragonlance was not only one of my first series favorites (along with the Chronicles of Narnia and Harper Hall). It was also one of my first good RPG experiences (I got Tass by default, but he fun to play). I think I wore my set out as well, but my brother took it when he moved away many years ago, so I don't know what shape it's in.

I've started reading Chronicles, and I must say that I like the character of Raistlin best of all. I got the first book in the Raistlin Chronicles from the library too.
