personally i dig a 7 string but will settle for a 6 dont like 8's in line or grouped same with 12's

All I need is a four. There's no point in more unless your going into really technical playing.

I just use a four string. If I wanted more strings I would play guitar more often.

My custom bass has got two necks. Top one is a four string. Bottom neck is a five string. So it's a nine string for me!

i like a 4 for most normal playing and a 5 for stuff like slapping and tapping

4-String and 5-String basses are really the only things I touch (aside from an actual guitar).. though personally my weapon of choice is (without a doubt) a 4-string axe.

5-String. I just love the odd numbers. Never really tried anything beyond a 6-String though.

I have a 4-string. But i love 5 strings, that's what i want to buy soon. 6-strings are alrigth i guess. I kinda get confused at times.
