Finnian had read, and reviewed the letter that accepted him into that most mysterious of school clubs. The note had said he could visit the proper room and log on to the video game system whenever he wished. Not much of a fan of games in general, the boy had taken his time getting to his first attempt. Yet, it was one special day he found himself without a single other thing to do. He was waiting on a small shipment of parts for his next mechnical experiment, and was too lazy to go pick himself up another pack of cigarettes. With all of his homework up to date and completed, the boy had little choice for entertainment.
With an especially liquid sigh, he stalked his way into what seemed to be a computer lab. With a small jerk of his wrist he pulled a chair away from an empty computer, taking his seat and getting comfortable. After a moment of confusion, the student was able to situate himself with the system. He was not a major fan of this sort of technology, but he knew how to use it.
Some awkward typing later, and he had created himself a login name and password.

With all the craziness circulating around her these days and the unpleasantness that had occured the last time she had logged in, Obsidian had taken her sweet time to return to the Astrology Lab. But she found she missed the little tiger striped shu that was hers and felt compelled to spend a little time with her. Hopefully since there were no events planned, she wouldn't have to worry about the strange after effects that had occured the last time. Walking into the lab she noticed a boy she had never seen before already logged in. She watched him for a second, then walked over to the computer she tended to frequent and sat down.

Covet opened her eyes and looked around the bright sunny day that was around her. She felt... different somehow, but she wasn't sure why. He couldn't write, couldn't play sport. His friends were all busy and he missed Chii. Deciding he needed to escape the real world for a few hours Ra headed to the astrology labs.

Ioannes opened and batted his eyes for the very first time. He blinked again, then once more, his gaze slowly coming into focus upon a female infront of him. For a moment he was taken aback, and then he slowly smiled in a friendly manner. Slowly, gracefully, he took the offered hand with his own bright red one.
"Hello," he murmured politely, pausing before he let his focus drift onto the Shu that seemed to be injured. For a moment he wondered if he could do something about it, but waved it off. Ioannes knew well enough not to involve himself in other's business unless he was asked to.
"Hello," he said again, this time to the fully red Shu. Then, his words were geared towards both of the strangers, "I am Ioannes."
"Hello," he murmured politely, pausing before he let his focus drift onto the Shu that seemed to be injured. For a moment he wondered if he could do something about it, but waved it off. Ioannes knew well enough not to involve himself in other's business unless he was asked to.

Covet giggled as Ioannes slipped his bright red hand into hers. She glanced over at Mecca and fought the urge to tackle him to the ground. He looked like he was still not faring well and a small look of concern flashed through her bright green eyes.
"Ioannes? That's such a pretty name," she smiled back at him. She glanced back over at Mecca and looked down at the arm he was favoring.
"Are you alright Mecca?" she asked, her tail twitching with a bit of anxiety.

Mecca nodded at the new, brightly coloured Shu and eyed him suspiciously. He didn't trust things that were too bright. At Covet's question he shrugged.
"I do not know." He said looking down at it. "It just hurts." Sighing he looked up and down the street. It all seemed to be very quiet.
"I don't suppose you have seen that woman or the monsters again?" He asked absently as he glanced around.

Ioannes smiled openly at the girl's remark on his name. He briefly wondered what the Shu's name might have been, but it seemed a little rude to ask. She seemed quite concerned about her friend. For a moment the newest avatar could merely watch the strangers interact, picking up tidbits such as the red male's name was 'M-'something. Until he heard it more clearly, he would just mutter 'Mable' or something similar.
It seemed like a plan, anyway.

Covet shook her head at Mecca's question. Lune creeped her out and the monsters had been scary. She looked back over at Ioannes with a small smile at his excitement.
"No. It was not here. They appeared at Tomatina, but I have heard Matty talking about some outside of Crescent City," she answered him. She glanced over at Mecca, then back to the blue shu.
"What kind of things do you like to do Ioannes?" she asked him, folding her hands behind her back and fluffing her wings a bit.

Mecca frowned and looked between the new shu and Covet.
"Huge monsters. Not the fun kind either." He said looking around him again. Mecca wasn't stupid and wouldn't pick a fight with something or someone bigger than him. He sighed and waited for the small Shu to answer Covet's question. No doubt the answer would be along the usual tedious lines.

Ioannes nodded just slightly, noting the possible placement of monsters. He would not go off on his own to face any, but if he did make some friends in this place, it was a possibility. A fun possibility. The Shu's smile turned devious for only a moment, and then it was back to its usual charming appearance.
"I'm not sure what I'm interested in," the blue creature said, a little whimsy hinted in his voice and eyes. "Maybe you could tell me? Or we could figure it out through experimentation."

Covet giggled at Ioannes' answer and pulled a hand out from behind her back to take one of his hands in hers and reached out with her other hand to take Mecca's good one.
"I cannot tell you what you like silly. But we can figure it out together," she grinned as she tugged on both of the boys' hands to lead them off towards the park.
"Is there anything you would like to do Mecca?" she asked glancing over at her crimson "friend".

Mecca eyed the new Shu again. He was obviously not the most intelligent creature. How could he not know what interested him.
As Covet took his hand he scowled and yanked it away. He wasn't a kid, well, he was but he didn't like being treated like one.
"No." He said clutching his arm again. He couldn't play tag and he couldn't torture things. What else was there to do? He was suddenly begining to wish that he had stayed curled up sulking in his room.

Ioannes was somewhat charmed by the girl's apparent innocence. He allowed her to hold his hand, not finding it childish in the bad sort of way. Rather, it was kind of nice.
Until the other Shu began to speak. There was only one word, but it said quite a bit about his general personality. With a light sigh, the blue avatar dropped the white's hand, making his way around her to face the other male.

Covet stopped walked when Mecca yanked his hand away from her. She gave him a hurt look and glanced over at Ioannes when he pulled his hand away from her. Chewing on her lip she peered back at Mecca to guage what his reaction would be to Ioannes' question.
"Maybe you should Mecca... if it's hurting you that bad," she said softly, looking down at his injured arm.

The new Shutensa was more than a little put off by the reaction he was recieving from the other male. Ioannes gave Covet a small, sharp smile, that said quite clearly he was not giving up on becoming her friend's friend too. He sped up so that he could move infront of the crimson being, walking backwards so that they could speak face to face. It wasn't like he knew where he was going anyway.
"Mayca" Ioannes mumbled as best he could, hiding the fact he was quite bad at names. Covet was easy enough to remember, but he was almost certain he was going to have continual problems with the more agressive Shu's title. "Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot..."

"It's Mecca." The red shu said with a hint of annoyance. "Me-ka." He gave a cruel smirk to the new shu and raised an eyebrow. "And Covet is right. I don't like anyone, so don't take my hatred of you personally."
He shrugged and walked over to Covet.
"Exploring sounds like it might be interesting." He said brightening as much as he ever did and looking around. He was always excited to discover new things.

"Me-ka," Ioannes purred cheerfully. He continued to say the word under his breath, apparently quite pleased with the sound. Almost taking the other Shu's name as his personal mantra, the blue Shu took his spot back along Covet's other side. He nodded his agreement with the decision to explore, quietly 'Me-ka'ing all the time.
His movements became more fluid, and he seemed to have randomly decided it was time to show off a little. Again, he offered the female a quick smile, and even a wink, pantomiming something like iceskating as he seemed to skim along a bit ahead of his new friends.

Covet giggled again as Ioannes began repeating Mecca's name over and over again. She glanced over at Mecca, quite sure that he would not be amused, then looked back over to Ioannes as he flashed her another smile and a wink.

Covet cried out as Mecca crashed into her and she fell onto the ground. She looked up with tears of pain in her eyes, as he had fallen on her wings and crushed them. She glanced back at the red shu with a glare and kicked him off of her and allowed Ioannes to pull her up to her feet.
"You did that on purpose," she accused, scowling at him suspiciously. She had every right to be suspicious considering their painful history with one another. She let go of Ioannes' hand and looked over her small white shoulder to inspect her feathered wings. Slowly she stretched them out and fluffed them a bit.

Mecca smirked as Covet kicked him, rolling over and picking himself up with his good arm.
"b***h." He muttered dusting himself off and watching her preen her precious wings. "You would know it if I had done it on purpose." He said with a sneer.
He turned to the blue shu and shrugged.
"My fits of clumsiness only seem to happen when she is around." He said with an extra special glare of contempt in Covet's direction

Ioannes watched worriedly as Covet's eyes teared up. He watched her carefully as she stretched out her wings, glad to see no real damage had been done to them. The last thing they needed was for Mr. Grumpy to get his inner sadist off. Not that Ioannes had any idea about Me-ka's interests, but the mental image was minuetly amusing. He had no idea that it was accurate or anything like that.
The blue Shu's amusement disappeared as soon as the other male began to speak. He glared darkly, waiting just long enough for Me-ka to finish speaking before he replied. "Do not talk like that to a lady, Me-ka."
He tilted his head back, looking the other Avatar over as though deciding whether or not he could take him on in a fistfight. Not that it would really be fair, what with the guy being banged up before hand. It was that simple fact that kept Ioannes from going simply on his first inclination. He shrugged off anger like a jacket, and once more was smirking in a lazy fashion.

Covet's eyes widened at what Mecca had called her and pulled her wings in tightly at the implied memory that he had invoked with that sneer. She openly glared at him when he implied that she was the reason for his clumsiness, then looked over at Ioannes as he spoke up for her. A very unladylike smirk, bordering a sneer, was directed at Mecca and she stepped closer to Ioannes. She turned back to Ioannes with a bright smile and took his hand up again.
"I agree. Let's go," she grinned and started off again towards the river, not bothering to see if Mecca would follow or not. Giggling, she glanced over at Ioannes and let go of his hand to cannonball right into the middle of the lazy river.
"Ooo!" she shivered. "It's cold," she smiled when she broke the surface and turned to face the shore.
[aaaannnd on that note.... i'm sorry to say that we must pause. medea is on her way home, and i've gotta go and get groceries. hopefully we'll get to continue tomorrow *snugs saede and ioannes*]
