The manga is always better. Thus was the case with Fruits Basket, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Love Hina, Midori Days, and Full Moon wo Sagashite.

I like Manga better. Not only because they cut out alot of important stuff in the Anime sometimes, but also because I don't usually have the time when I'm home to sit down and do anything. (Teh web is way too tempting for it... sweatdrop )

I read alot of manga when travelling. And I don't currently own anything I could watch Anime on when I'm not home. So there.

Well it all depends. Here goes my long post.

Manga advantages:
You get to see the original artwork/storyline that the manga-ka does.
You can imagine the movement and the voices of the characters.
You get to see extra things.
The storyline may possibly be better.
Cheaper than the anime.
-> There are definitely more manga advantages... but my head can't seem to produce any more at the moment.

Manga disadvantages:
Not coloured (okay, not all the time).
The pictures may be crappier. [I refer to Furuba in this case.] (Please note the "may be" and don't trash me).
The storyline is actually not as great as you imagined it to be.
The author's comments or notes may get annoying.
The manga publisher has a crappy translator and it ruins the book. (I personally like to read books published by Del Rey because I think they have the best translating. I like reading fans' scanslations but it's taking money away from the manga-ka...)

Anime advantages:
Animated.
Coloured.
Cute seiyuu that it's actually better than what you imagined.
Art may be better.
They take away the boring parts. (rarely)
They speed things up. (possibly)

Anime disadvantages:
If dubbed, it may result in horrible voice acting or horrible translating.
Horrible seiyuu that make you want to punch them in the face.
Crappy animation.
Crappy pictures.
Take out parts of stories.
Put in parts of stories that aren't there. [if you watched and read Tsubasa Chronicles, you'll know what I mean.]
Horrible flashbacks?
More money required.

I like both~

It depends on the story and the way the anime/manga is painted and so on. So i dont really care if it's anime or manga ^^

Sometimes manga is better and sometimes anime is better.

well as the traditional format manga has the upper hand as it isnt restricted by showing times and watershed, you can get away with alot more in manga than anime but i like the smoothness of good anime. i wouldent want to read spirited away the manga. it wouldent be the same. the art does need to be dumbed down a bit for animation purposes.

i ask you this though. if anime is so bad why do all manga artists such as myself aspire to have there art in TV format?

Manga... usually better, though I do prefer the anime of Inu Yasha to the manga.
