To be honest, I hated Eichi because Takuto was my favourite character and it felt like somebody was squeezing my heart really tight when Mitsuki talked about how great he was and about how she loved him. ((I have a collection of pictures of Takuto's face when she says that stuff. --Drool--)) I cried in ummm... episode 39, 40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 50, 51 and 52. I've never seen an anime that has made me cry more than twice.
Saddest moments in Wendy's POV: - Grave moment. Even though I hate Eichi. WITH ETERNAL SNOW PLAYING, THAT WAS TOO MUCH! ((Episode 42)) - The looks on Takuto's face and the suspense building and... Mitsuki clueless before BANG! ((Episode 42)) - When Negi Ramen and Mitsuki sing together and Mitsuki starts coughing. ((Episode 33 I think?)) - When Mitsuki almost kills herself ((Episode 45 I think)) - When Mitsuki sings because Takuto is going to become a ghost. [I've seen the whole series, I'm just saying] ((Episode 46)) - Any part with Eternal Snow - When she is tricked by Izumi into thinking Eichi is at the airport and Takuto does the same thing. ((Episode 36 I think)) - When Meroko gets the flower and almost dies ((Episode 49)) - EVERYTHING in episode 51 and 52 [But I'll still list the saddest things from them] - When Takuto loses his memory ((Episode 51)) - When Takuto turns 'dies' [x.x Well, he didn't turn into a ghost. So... what DID happen? xD He disappeared then.] ((Episode 52)) - When Mitsuki almost dies at the concert. ((Episode 52)) - When Meroko protects her [Just when she says 'I want to hear you sing' and then Mitsuki started singing] ((Episode 52)) - When Meroko disappeared/died ((Episode 52)) - When Mitsuki almost died in the operation ((Episode 52)) - When Mitsuki woke up and started freaking out and crying ((Episode 52))
The good parts that made Wendy cry: - When Takuto confessed in America ((Episode 40/41)) - When Eichi was reveiled dead. [What? i don't like him. But it was also sad.] ((Episode 42)) - When Mitsuki sang on the hospital roof and Takuto was saved. [Also sad but good. It was very happy and sad. xD] ((Episode 46)) - Takuto's confession of love ((Episode 50)) - When Mitsuki realizes she loves Takuto ((Episode 50)) - Mitsuki's confession of love ((Episode 50)) - When Meroko and Takuto are saved. [Meroko --> Angel. Takuto --> Human] ((Episode 52)) - When Meroko leads Mitsuki to Takuto ((Episode 52)) - The fact that Takuto kept the toy and that he ended up going to the lighthouse from episode 19 ((Episode 52)) - When Mitsuki is reunited with Takuto ((Episode 52)) - I think Takuto got his memory back. But I can't tell. ((Episode 52))

Ultrahamsterz In volume 3 when you find out Eichi's dead. "I don't want to know what love is. I don't want any tenderness either. If forgetting you and going on with life brings happiness...then I will reject it. I am not afraid of dying because you'll be there, waiting for me."
Also, in the anime when Mitsuki goes to Eichi's grave. Those make me cry. i love those lines....^^

I cried in the anime in ep 52 when Takuto was starting to become a ghost and Meroko was like NO! And also when the fate person was like who is this she? And Takuto was all like why cant I remember? Then the fate person was all like now the fate of Mitsuki... Then Takuto was all like DONT HURT HER!! That part made me cry, and in the manga I cried from Izumi's past.

I can't think of anything specifically sad. Just volume 3 and four over all made me really sad. Eichi-kun!!!
The saddest part of the anime is really apparent to me. The last half of episode 42 (Eternal Snow). I've always had this thing about scenes in the snow making me cry. THis one really hit me too. Ah...it's just so sad!

I've seen all of the anime but only the first volume of the manga..So this is anime. Episode 49? When Mitsuki starts singing to cheer Meroko on, then she sings too? That was PURE awesomeness. Episode 52. When That black mist-thing is about to get Mitsuki, but Meroko stops it. When Mitsuki sees, she stops singing and yells and stuff, but Meroko keeps telling her to sing. I'd die if I had to sing when I knew my friend was dying in front of me. Then, Izumi gives Mitsuki wings, saying to Johnathan: "It's what Me-chan would've wanted." THAT WAS SO SAD. Again in episode 52: Where Mitsuki practically runs all across town to reach Takuto. When she gets there, she uses her whole voice to yell for him. AWWW. Then Meroko kisses her on the cheek or something, and she turns around. CUE THE PRETTYFUL FEATHERS. If that were me, I'd be crying half to death from joy. Like, when you think that your two precious friends are gone forever, then you get to see them one last time, seriously.
The end. heart XD This is probably killing all the people who aren't done the series. Oh, I didn't find Eichi dying sad because it was spoiled for me.. I'd have dried if it wasn't, though. emo

As a note to anyone who isn't paying attention to what they're writing...please white out spoilers. I have seen all of the anime, but I'm sure that some of our fellow members haven't...
But anyways: The saddest two moments that I can think of are: 1)When Mitsuki reads the letter that Eiichi wrote before his accident, and when it sings her song, Eternal Snow...so saaaad! I cried on that one! 2)When Mitsuki said she would never sing again...the sad emptiness in her eyes and her lack of will for anything at all! It's scenes like that that make me want to strive even harder in my stories! Until I can develop a moment like that, I'm not a good enough writer!
Sooo....now that I'm teary-eyed I think I'll end my response with one statement: Whatever Arina's inspiration was for this series, it was a vision of greatness. I know of only one story that has ever made me feel like that, and that was the series AIR....

The saddest part to me( from the anime) was:
-When Takuto was dissapearing at Mitsuki's last concert and Meroko yelled " Takuto, you can't yet, it's Mitsuki's last song" and when he was losing his memory and he was like" Why am I here" and Meroko was like "To make new memorys"
The manga really wasn't all that sad, in my point of veiw.
