Jaden stopped as well, not because the man was right behind her but because Nuala started to growl and got into her attack mode stance, "Someone's having alittle too much fun today." Jaden smirked spinning around and facing the stranger bow already drawn and an arrow knocked into place. She fired the arrow straight past the man's left ear finding her mark in the head of a zombie that had newly come out of the ground. "Run!" Grabbing the man's arm that wasn't holding his weapon and pulled him along when she saw three more Dead arise and more would come

Dyrim halted. "Find some running water--it's the only thing that will stop them!" he shouted. He turned on his heel and drew a panpipe from his pocket. Picking the second to largest pipe, he blew hard, and the the strong, deep note rang in the air. The Dead stopped in their tracks, now bound to Dyrim's will with the note. Quickly, he switched to another pipe--these pipes were not as strong as the bells.
He blew again, this time a jovial note, which sent the Dead spirit's walking back to Death, screeching against the note and struggling against Dyrim's will.

Jaden looked around pin pointing her location, "There's a stream a minutes run from here, its mixed with holy water. That should help come on," Jaden heard the panpipe play wondering who was he as she beckoned him forward

Dyrim quickly urged the girl forward. "No, go without me," he said. "I'll hold them off for you. The panpipes are not as strong as bells would be, but they're all I've got. I haven't the skill to control the bells just yet. Go!"
He blew again and swung his lance quickly at the Dead.

"Crazy outsider," Jaden muttered as she turned and started to run. It was a good thing she was a swift runner and able to keep pace as Nuala put on a burst of speed and was now running beside her with no trouble at all. The stalker was a lean wild cat (think mountain lion/leopard) who'n name held the would "Stalker" and for good reason. Much of what stealth Jaden knew was due to her friend Nuala. Jaden wished to set her speed higher but didn't for it would only tired her out more

"It's alright," Dyrim said, smiling faintly at Jaden. "I know what I'm doing."
Still blowing, he ran after her, legs pumping and feet pounding against the ground. The Dead were outside during the day...how could this be? It was no time to wonder now, he thought, struggling with blowing into the panpipes and running at once.
