Fushigi na Butterfly And if it does do more harm than good, then I'll quit. If it does more harm than good, then by all means, we all will.

I'm all into love and peace ^_^. After all, it's not the pro-choicers we're against, it's abortion itself, right? Reminds me of the Facebook group Bush Lovers and Haters Unite. I already mentioned it in another thread in this forum, but I just loved that group's idea so much.
And when it comes to the worries of debating and all that, how about simply creating subforums? The main one will be about just hanging out, getting to meet people and make friends, while a subforum can be named "CIVIL debate," with a sticky at the top with a mega-huge warning about the "CIVIL" part of the subforum name. The guild won't be open to everyone anyways, so all you might need is a strong enough warning and if necessary strong rules. Anyone being uncivil might only need a personal warning, if not then they can be banned (though I'd hate to need to do that). Being careful about who's allowed to join might be the only thing needed.
