i haven't played in awhile but i'll try my best to explain it all... hopefully it'll all be correct. sweatdrop for every magic point you recieve from a battle, the number of magic points is timed by 'so and so random number' which could be anywhere from 1 to 50 or so. so for instance when you equip an esper and one of the spells you can learn says 'bolt x 20', that means the magic points you earn in a battle are multipled times 20.... so it would take 5 magic points for your character to learn bolt because 5 times 20 is 100... as in 100% so your character has permantely learned bolt. sorry if this didn't make any sense but i tried my best. ^^; i think it's just easiest to keep in mind that one magic point equals one percent towards the completion of a spell which is 100%. 3nodding

That was an accurate, but confusing answer. xp
-To learn a spell, you must reach 100% -After each battle, you recieve Magic Points, each Magic Point = 1% -The x20 in Bolt, for example, multiplies that 1% by 20 to get 20% to your learning of Bolt.
