I'd just like to know if anyone will be going next year? I'm saving to fly over for it {will be my first con} and I'll be taking one of my boys {probably Air}. However, despite me being 18 by then my mum still doesn't want me to go there alone. Will there be a meet there? Or maybe even some english people?
{Edit: Not able to go to anime boston, though am now able to go to Fanime.}

I'll probably go next year. San Jose is by San Fransico, vaguely, n' my boything lives up there, so i'll crash on his couch.

Will you be cosplaying? I'm taking Air with me {new El still waiting to arrive} and we're going to be twins. Scared about using contact lenses though.
Only thing my parents are worried about me going is the earthquakes. ><

Ahahahaha! XD Don't even give a single thought to the earthquakes. I've lived in CA my entire life. I slept through the Northridge [the big earthquake that made everyone freak out about earthquakes] and every other one is barely noticeable. We have one like, maybe once every three years, and they barely move the dirt around. So don't even worry. :3
I might be. I haven't given much thought to it. I have no idea who i'd go as. Kiry of course will go with me, in one of her darling representations. <3

Aww, I wanted to feel one. England is so boring and where I live were rarely even get snow. ><
Do many ABJD owners go? I know there was a meet there for DOA but that's it.

*chuckles* They're fun, it's true, but it's unlikely you will. :3 We're so silly. "Whooo, earthquake! Let's have a party!" Though generally we don't even bother to get out of bed unless it's above a 5.0. *snicker*
Except for the DOAers, no clue. XD
<-- Ish still new to this. >3

the last 4 earthquakes that happened in my area I either slept through or though someone was trying to wake me up (my bed was been shaken and it was about noon) so unless its fairly big, you probably won't notice the nice, fun earthquakes...
and I have seen some BJD owners wandering around cons and never going to the DOA meets, and last year at Anime Expo there was almost always a BJD owner somewhere nearby! (run around and start screaming like a lunatic asking if people have seen someone holding a dollie and they'll all point you in the direction of a BJD owner! ^__^)

I will be. I ran the meetup this year (despite bailing on it because I had to go to a photoshoot. >_<)
Oh man~ Earthquakes are noo problem! The big ones aren't very frequent, and if it were to happen, the con center and surrounding hotels are nice and new and should be up to code. No worries. biggrin
I've slept through all of the Earthquakes in my area. In 9 ish years of living here, I've never felt one.

I'll be happy with even a little one. I'd probably feel it seeing as I'm not used to it. ^^
I hope I see you there Astro, I'll be easy to spot I'll probably be the only one there without an american accent.

Doll people tend to be magnetic twards other doll people, and manage to find each other.
I used to live in Michigan, and I've never "gotten used to" earthquakes because I've never felt one! whee

*tear* I'll have my dollfie by next fanime.....
Speaking as a native San Jose-ian, the last time i actually felt an earthquake was when i was like... 7. and i'm 16 now. Normally it turns out to be the garage door opening under my bedroom floor, and i thought it was an earthquake since i was half asleep and sprawled out on the floor.
Anywho, i'll be going next year. I think it would be fun to try and arrange something with alot of BJD owners in one of the hallways or something. We don't need no stinkin panel! whee
My sister and i were thinking about selling clothing and accesories for dolls, along with hair clips (of the flowers and ribbons variety, since everyone was asking where my friend and i got ours, and we were like "we made them") Fanime is actually why i'm so interested in getting one of my own, the lady in the dealers room selling SDs let me dress one of the display dolls, and i was talking with people who had dolls and stuff. Just seems like fun... like when i was 5 and brought my barbie to the store with me, and would end up playing barbies with some chick i'd never met in the noodles isle.

There was a Dollfie panel this year, but it wasn't anything great...
Next year I'll be bringing Maika (Lahoo) with me so I can introduce him to some of the other lovely dolls out there. ^_^
