The band didn't start off as "BUCK-TICK", with the five members we know today.
In fact.. before BUCK-TICK actually formed.. the band was called Hinan go-go. (Hinan: reproach).
The posistions of Hinan go-go were:
Vocals: Araki (full name was never released)
Guitars: Hisashi Imai // Hidehiko Hoshino
Bass: Yutaka Higuchi
Drums: Atsushi Sakurai

After Hinan composed their first songs.. Imai renamed the band BUCK-TICK.
( pronounced baku chiku in japanese; means firecracker)

After a while, Araki gave the band a different feeling then what they wanted. Hinan sounded too punkish for everyone's liking. Eventually, Araki left the band. Atsushi moved to vocals, but the band needed a drummer. U-ta's older brother's, Toll Yagami(Ani), band had broke up.. leaving Ani by himself. Ani became the dummer for BUCK-TICK.

( A small note; Yagami Toll is not the real name of BUCK-TICK's drummer. He hasn't said his actual name.. Ani said he was selling his music, not himself.
