The day had been like many others, filled with heat as well as the sun beating upon the African lands. With the warmth from the sun, the jungle was filled with the juttering of bugs, the humidity causing an annoyance among most who were not used to its temperment. And yet, while the sun slinked down towards the horizon, and the air cooled off slightly, the heat still did nothing for the slumbering creature amongst the branches.
Mafujo'Amri was a silent leopard, always content with being on his own than with another. Though his form was lean, his currently closed eyes still lined with age. Well into his prime, the leopard slumbered on until the last inch of light settled amongst the darkness. Only the moon was his guide as slowly, his deep magenta eyes slithered open.
With a yawn, the creature moved to stand on the sturdy branch, his sliver limbs stretching out in a graceful arch. Though they were shorter than most, it was clear they held their strength. For as each curve of his back grew, the long claws dug tighter into the bark beneith. As soon as he finished, however, they snapped back while he moved to jump to the ground, landing soundlessly and looking with keen eyes. The magenta eyes were clear in the darkness, calculating his next move as one side took over.

It was an eerie scene. The moon had resigned to the hidden part of the dark sky and the moon had risen, casting its glare upon the lands. Matuko ran upon the ground happily, her tail streaking behind her. She could feel the cool air upon her face and smiled. Her dark golden eyes were hidden for a moment, as she ran faster, eyes closed and the wind beating against her pelt. Suddenly, she heard a noise amoungst the foliage.
Cocking her head, her eyes widened.
"Who's there?"

Ears perking slightly, his leith form stilled completly at the sound of another. As her voice was picked up in the thick silence of the jungle, he felt a frown mar his features before he turned his dark eyes towards her form. Though he couldn't see her, he knew she was there, and it send a smirk across his maw.
"Your shadow..." He murmered softly, a light whisper through the night as his form glowed from under the moon. Making way out from his hidden area, he just watched her with a dark aire, dark smirk growing at the knowlage that she was female, dispite the race difference.
"There are many dark creatures that could hurt a pretty little thing like you..." Musing, he took a step closer, "It isn't safe to be so unattended..."

He had such piercing eyes, such a bright colour that were beautiful yet almost obnoxious. Confusion overtook her, cocking her head she moved closer, for she was such a curious creature. She cast her dark tan gaze about her frame, watching her shadow. "My shadow?" Her eyes flickered to the moon for a split second, and as soon as her gaze rested on the leopard she felt intimidated.
Her voice became squeaky and her eyes widened. "Um, I don't know what you mean."
What did the fates have in store for her this time? Would she be hurt or just scared. She supressed a shudder.

His eyes trailed across her form, taking her traits in as he concluded she was a cheetah. Finding his eyes catching onto her own, his smirk darkened as he realized she was not going to run. Had she attempted, he was sure he couldn't find a way to catch her again, but she didn't need to know that.
Lifting his head to the side in an off manor, he let his smirk fall as he feigned distress, "There are many creatures who would love to eat an innocent female like you for dinner...they are ruthless...and some would settle just with an easy..." He trailed off, before looking back to her, "Well...you know." And with that, he eyed her once more.

The feeling of intimidation grew, and Matuko felt horribly like something was closing in on her. Her fur bristled as she heard the leopards cold voice, trying to avoid his magenta eyes. Eat her? She supressed a shudder. Voicing her opinion aloud would be a foolish thing to do in front of this creature, however her fate tempted her. "Eat me?" A puzzled look was upon her face. "Why would something want to eat me?" Her quiet voice fell, the word ruthless replaying itself in her mind. Had she made a mistake by following fate this time? Her tan eyes moved about to look for an easy exit, realising she was trapped, she backed into the foliage.

"Why yes," He murmered, moving closer to her as he tried to catch her eye, "A lot of cheetahs roam these parts, and a lion or two has been sighted as well. If a large pack decides to come after you, there is little you can do all by yourself..." Trailing off, he took note that she was glancing around, and realized she wanted to find a way to escape. Moving quickly just as he always did, he pushed by her and his form cut off the escape she tried.
If she wanted to run, he would enjoy catching her, so the option he left was nothing he would bother with.
"Now...what is your name...darling?"
