Back in Esperanza... Trouble brews...
A new country has been discovered far to the east, and the tension is growing.
Jadeira has finished her training, and now presides over the kings and Queens in Esperanza. The chaos to the east has caused much disturbance. Fear that Pearle, and Houka will turn on their neghbors causes turmoil among the many smaller kingdoms, and alliances are forming. Since the west has not yet recovered entirely from Laos' last attempt at power, there's not enough people to defend Esperanza were an attack staged, for more than a few months.
Things have been as normal as can be expected for the last two years,
Until lately that is.

For two moons a young girl has been found dead on the alter in the dark temple.
These events have left everyone confused, and sick with fear.
So far, after examinations of the bodies no evidence as to the cause of their deaths has been found. No scratches of abrasions anywhere on the body, no poison in the veins, Every woman is in the peak of condition save for the obvious. They're dead.

.x.~ A mysterious disappearance~.x.

She writhed and twisted through the cold dark water. Starved for air, she opened her mouth in a silent scream, the running water carrying away traces of her desperate weeping as she clawed her way to the surface. She was trembling as she finally broke the surface, and emptied her lungs of water. Gulping in the sweet air she began to look around frantically, her feet and arms churning to keep her afloat. Her attackers face loomed in her minds eye. Burning a hole in her subconscious. Wearily she swam for shore, for her escape would mean nothing if she didn't survive this. Finally her toes brushed the river bottom and tears of exhaustion and relief rolled down her cheeks. Now, the water was only up to her waist, and she stumble over the uneven riverbed toward the banks.but s she set her right foot down, she touched nothing but empty water. She tripped over herself and let out a pitiful, and exhausted wail of despair as she felt the eroding gravel drag her down into the hidden drop off. Her bodywas to weak to do anything, and she was forced to stand and watch as the water advanced up to her chest, and then her neck until she was completely submerged. She sighed inwardly as she fely water trickle into her lungs, choking off her airways, and finally let out a shuddering sigh, surrendering to the inevitable.
Nearbye, the shadows wavered, and a pale figure stepped out into the moonlight. Her ebony gown was form fitting, and dusted with crimson stars, a black mask disguised her features. Long, smoky brown hair was twisted into an elegant bun at the base of her neck, with the exception of two strands that framed her face perfectly. The only vaguely disturbing thing about her appearance were her crimson lips, which were now slightly parted to reviel two impossibly sharp eye teeth. The woman walkes, or rather, glided down to the shoreline, and into the water, her movements causing not a ripple as she trode through the opaque water towards the spot where the young woman was drowning. Almost casually she reached down into the depths, and pulled the girl out by her hair. Drawing her back to shore like a child with a ragdoll. She laid the girl out on the narrow strip of sand, and began to steadily pump water out of her lungs. Kirel(for that was her name), sat up with alarming speed coughing, and gasping for air. But, as she turned to examine her rescuer, she shrunk back with fear. "y-you." She sputtered out, fighting the urge to cry out, The strange woman smiled and nodded, though there was no warmth in t=her cynical grin, as she reached up to remove her mask.
"Yes Kirel, me." Was the reply.
A cold shiver shot up her spine, "Do you know me? Have I done something, only tell me, and I can fix it, I promise." Tears clouded her vision.
But now she could see the womans face, which was inhumanly beautiful, and now that she thought about it, probably wasn't, judging by the sharpness of the fangs poking out of her mouth.
Her eyes were a venemous lime green, ringed with black, but there was no kindness there, only a sort of feverish hunger. "We have not met per say, though I know you well, Unfortunatley I require your services." Kirel was unable to understand. "But, why me? What can I do? And why have you been chasing me-"
"Enough Questions!"
The woman snapped, her eyes flashing. "The night is waning, and there's still much to do."
"I was only wondering-"
Kirel was silenced as she was suddenly forced to the ground with a dagger pressed to her Jugular vein. The woman reached up towards the ske, and made a beckoning motion. A scroll appeared in her hand, and she lowered in to gaze upon its contents as casually as if she had plucked it out of her pocket. She stood up now, and Kirel struggled to break free of the spell that now held her in one spot. The woman shook her head mournfully, "It's really no use you know, many before you have tried." She stated matter-of-factly. busy reading as she spoke. She flicked her hand over Kirel who felt the strains loosen around her mouth, and head. "What's you do that for?" She questioned, a desperate hope blossoming in her heart. The woman grinned, and Kirel sensed pure evil in that gaze. "I like to hear my victims scream, it makes things more vigorating." Then she shook herself as if comin out of a daze, and giggled. "Just kidding, Its just, Im so lonely. I like the little bit of conversation I get before this ritual. I really am sorry you know, but to obtain true power, sacrafices must be made." Tears streamed down Kirels cheeks as the woman began to chant, and she felt herself slipping away. It didn't hurt, but waves of intense sadness would have driven her to her knees had she not been laying down. Gathering her strength she spit at the womans feet. "Curse you! Whoever you are, curse you, and all who follow you!" Then she truly was gone, her head lolled, and her eyes gazed unseeing somewhere far off in the distance. The woman smiled sadly, and knelt by Kirels body, putting the stopper on a silver bottle engraved on the bottle were strang symbold and pictures. It almost writhed in her hand. Quickly she slipped the bottle containing Kirels spirit into her pocket, even as she caressed the girls cold, and lifeless cheek.
"I am the death dealer..."

Damn I wrote a whole thing during class (when I should've been paying attention 0.0; And now I don't know where it is... T-T ah well, from scratch then...)

The thick cords binding her ankles, and wrists mercilessly dug into her flesh, as she struggled to free herself from the altar.
She screamed, as she thrashed around, trying vainly to escape, or perhaps lose enough blood that she'd die before the horrible deed could be performed,
her last chance to save the entire world from her father, who would lay it to ashes in a few sparse years of complete terror, and torment for everypoor soul who survived this savage ritual.
She could hear the pounding of millions of feet in sync, the demons trooped around the temple in an odd regular pattern, providing protection, and aiding in some way to return their master to power.
The chanting grew in volume, Sibel gazed down at Jadiera with a knowing smile, her perfect features twisted in a gruesome grin.
" The alchemist followed through with my instrucions quite nicely you'll be sorry to hear, My second has spread the poisen throughout all of the main waterways from here, all the way to domachi.
The minute I say the spell, it will be activated and all of that magic will be mine, to use as I please, I can't wait to see the effects of the poisen on purely magical creatures... I will free your father from his shackles, and reap the sweet rewards, I will rule at his side. Now I have all of the magic I need to break his chains, but no amount of magic can bring him forth unless one of his blood is used... That job falls onto your shoulders. Now, willingly or not, you will help me my Queen."
She held high above her head in one hand, a crystal glass full of water, and in the other a stone bottle engraved with the same runes used to write the dark scrolls. Unstoppering the bottle, she poured its dark contents into the glass and watched with fascination as the color faded and it once more appeared to be a harmless glass of water. "Bottoms up Jadiera, I have a very unpleasant surprise for you."
Obviously the terrified Queen locked her jaw as tight as possible, and vigerously shook her head.
Sibel sighed loudly, and motioned for one, rather gruesome looking, demon to step forth and hand her, her weapon of choice. The long, curved blade she had murdered so many innocents with. The firelight reflecting of its silvery surface made it gleam and she lowered the blade to Jadiera's arm. She made a deep incision, and slowly upended the glass into the wound as Jadiera screamed so loud her face turned red.
Her arm was steaming from the vile mixture, as Sibel finally finished and sealed the gash with her magic.
"Everything is in place!"
She cried out with wild joy, and the demons close enough to hear let out a raucous call into the starry night, an evil sound so loud that it carryed across the plains to the unprepared ears of the Queen's sister Nadira, who immediatley remounted her second horse, after running the first to death.
Sibel opened the stolen scrolls, and began chanting.
Jadira could do little but twist in agony, it was as though her very being was being torn in half, Screams echoed across the countryside, even among the demons as many of their ranks dropped to their knees in pain.
Sibel's laughter echoed above the screams, and panicked yells.
A violent concussion tore through the very fabric of reality.
Then every light extinguished, complete silence, That lasted for a mere few moments, but was enough to make civillions on the nearbye villages to go insane.
Deep, undescribably evil laughter broke the silence, as the triumphant demon lord tore through the veil,

She blinked once, twice,
Tha entire world was hazy,
She blinked vigerosly to bring her vision back into focus.
Hot, sulferous breath, and the stomach turnng scent of blood brought her back even more. She vaguely realized that the entire room was spattered with blood, and gore.
A young man gazed down at her with crystalline grey orbs, his long auborn hair falling across his ivory cheeks like a stream of blood.

His fingers were stained with her own blood, he grinned down at her, one glistening fang protruding over his lower lip as he smiled.
Jadiera shuddered in horror, she was staring into the face of the demon lord himself, Laos, her father got to his feet and glared at the trembling Sibel, who no longer appeared a threat next to this embodiment of evil.
His demonic legion was sprawled out on their hands, and knees kissing the ground at his feet, She wiped her soaked ebony locks out of her eyes only just noticing that her bonds had been cut, and she was free to move around as she pleased.
This man, thing, was undeniably her father. She could see it in his face structure, the shape of his eyes....
Her gaze wandered throughout the room. The sconces were once again lit with a flickering flame, she vaguely pondered about the state of the surrounding area, An eerie light drew her attenton to the far corner of the room. Its hard to describe such a disturbance accuratley since nothing of the sort had ever been seen before just then, but it seemed as though a thin veil of mist distorted the entire space in that direction.
The mist would waver, and then solidify as demons, and chained humans...? No, they couldn't be alive, before they stepped out of the mist you could see right through them...Spirits then, of all different kinds, trooped out of the tear, bound by a slender gold coller around their necks.
The 6th
she sat up hesitantly, Watching her captors with a wary eye.
Laos' back was to her, and Sibel was to busy groveling at his feet to notice anything else. Most of the demons had their faces pressed to the ground, in homage to their overlord. Lightly placing first one foot, and then the other, she got to her feet, and started creeping towards the exit, Heavy black velvet drapes obscured the view of the outside world, but there was no doubt in her mind that it would be nothing but an empty wasteland for at least a hundred miles in any direction. If She could only make it to teir...
She herself was clothed in a loose back robe, clean, surprisingly considering the state of everythng in the room. There were only a few living attendants left, most had been killed during Laos' entrance.
It disturbed her greatly to see those very servents emerging from the tear. As soon as they left the fog they seemed solid enough, yet still preoccupied by something, fortunate for her.
She darted towards the door with as much speed as her gaunt body could muster, it wasn't enough. A repremanding hand on her shoulder stopped her in her tracks, and she turned slowly to look straight into the burning glare of Sibel, and trace of her former dogged behavior was gone, replaced with a white hot fury. "Idiot!" She whispered harsly, and slapped Jadiera so hard it knocked her to the ground. She was immediatly pulled to her feet. Staggering a bit, she managed to keep her balance, and with an angry grimace she squeezed her eyes shut ready to allow her demonic side to take control, and rip the witch apart joint, by joint.
Nothing happened.
She was angry all right, but she felt strangely... human.
Her powers were gone, she was now completely human, and utterly defenseless.
This had to be taken care of before it got out of hand. She reached for a sconce, as if for balance, but really whipped it around as hard as she could. A satisfying crack announced its contact with Sibel's head, a quick reverse sweep knocked her surprised father from his feet, hot wax dripping out of the top landed on his chest, and set his shirt on fire. Jadiera backed away, horrifyed in spite of herself at the site befre her eyes, flames roared up around him, and melted the flesh away from his face, disinigrating his clothes. The choking stench of burning hair permeated the small chamber.
Abruptly, it stopped,
The flames ceased, and it was as though nothing had happened, He chuckled deeply at her surprise, "I'm immortal you little fool, and you've just sealed your fate. You are now useless, I would have perhaps allowed you to live as a servent in my kingdom, but now I'm rather annoyed of you... Humans live such pitifully short lives after all, ah well, no matter."
He motioned with a finger towards one of the newly emerged spirits who waited dully against the wall for orders. The woman stepped foreward, "M'lord?" He pointed towards Jadiera, " Chain her outside, and don't let her out of your sight. No excuses."
"Yes, m'lord"
Jadera started as she felt the spirits cold fingers slide through her chest, and take a firm grasp on her beating heart. The experience nearly killed her, but as long as she followed right behind her new mistress, she was at least still alive.
She was chained in the backyard, in a large elaboraqte garden... That should not have been there. Cows lazed in the sun across the way, and the sun beamed down merrily from its perch atop the clouds.
This was DEFINATLY an allusion.
The spirit glared at her darkly, and folded her arms.
"No funny buisness."
The broken Queen stared at the bround blankly, as she slowly lost consceousness.

November 11th
Once Jadeira was out of his sight, Laos turned to the rip in the veil to the underworld with a sharp look in his eyes. The corners of his mouth turned upwards in a sinister smirk as he gazed upon the underworld.
"Come my pets, do my bidding until the end of time...with the golden rings around your necks you are my slaves forever and beyond..." His silver eyes glinted in the eerie light that shone from in front of him. Shadowed forms writhed constantly, reaching out through the tear with claw like hands. These were the minor demons that infested nearly every corner of the underworld. They thrived off of negative emotions and Laos had a great many of those.

His smirk grew as familiar faces were pushed to the forefront of the gate. The ones who had defeated him...his biggest enemies were going to be his biggest allies...

He twirled his fingers about in the air, sparkling trails following them to make intricate symbols in front of the portal to the underworld. (For now that Laos had control of it, that is what it was.)
The portal glowed and stretched, two figures writhed in pain and Laos watched as they tried to resist what was happening to them. The golden rings materialized around their necks and the portal opened for a scant moment to allow his new puppets entrance into the world of the living once more.

The amber eyes of one Shavas Yamagata were dull and listless just like the black eyes of her one time partner and friend Tsuki Terragrama. They listlessly intoned the words Laos was waiting to hear, "Your orders, Master."

Laos grinned cruelly, showing his abnormally pointed teeth and said, "Greetings my pets, I have a special job for you...I want you to go to the new land of Houka. Use your powers to get there post haste my pets, you must slaughter her Highness Lyra Fa Houreka, Empress of Houka..."
The two puppets bowed low and without another word dissappeared.

Flashing back to a day before the recent darkness befell the land...

((Since I'm not in a mood to play at writing a story...I'll summarize.))

Arkayid departed for Esperanza sometime after the Lady Jadeira was imprisoned by Sibel to attempt a rescue. He did indeed reach the palace, but as he began his rescue it was cut abruptly off by Sibel and her dark spells. She made short work of him and he was soon her newest puppet.

Arkayid fell into the shadows for a time, in a state of limbo as his new mistress didn't need him, she sent him back to Houka on orders to 'act normal, I don't want them to know you are mine...'
After that, he was essentially forgotten by Sibel until she was charged with the task of taking out the one city that could be a threat to her Master's plans: Domachi, the city of the dragons.

Sibel thought about her options for a scant three hours before she remembered Arkayid tucked away in Houka for safe keeping. She summoned him with but a thought and soon he was before her.
"Mistress, what is it you wish of me." He intoned lifelessly.
"I wish for you to...remove a threat. The city of Domachi is home to many of the strongest beings in the realm, all now at the call of some wench who doesn't know the first thing about battle. But they are still a threat, despite their lackluster Lady. The true leader has recently died, but that is of little consequence: they are a threat and I wish for you to destroy them by any means nesassary." Her lips curved upwards in a mock smile while her eyes glittered with bloodlust, "I want every single being in and around that city slaughtered. Even down to the last baby..."

Arkayid nodded and vanished in a snap of magic.

--------------------A few hours before until current...

The recently widowed Lady Yami was seated on the edge of her expansive bed staring vacantly at the opposite wall. Her husband was for all intents and purposes, dead of a slow acting disease. He had been sick for years, unbeknowst to either of them. (I apologize if this is untrue, if so feel free to message me and I'll change it.)

Even though she had suffered such a loss, there were things to do as the new Lady of Domachi. Not that she wasn't already the Lady, but now she controlled everything that went on in the lands surrounding the castle.

Her children were in their rooms, expressing their grief in their own ways. Yami smiled, they were so much like their father. Toleranth had been a proud man, not afraid to take risks to ensure his peoples' safety. Yami hoped she would not fail him in taking care of the lands and people.

She sighed, there was no time for thinking, only action. Esperanza castle had been taken. Teir had been overthrown by members of the White mage tower that supported darker factions, Domachi was the only remaining pillar holding Esperanza up. She needed the support of the more minor lands if she was to keep the lands in the hands of good.

Yami Kirei Hikari, Lady of Domachi departed her lands with a small contingent of loyal guards to visit one of the neighboring lands just hours before it would happen.

-----------------------

Arkayid strode into Domachi’s capital, the Plateau. Pulling his cloak tight against him, he felt Mishizuri’s handle for reassurance. Sighing with apprehension at his objective, he steeled himself against the coming storm that he would wreak.

Nodding to himself, he strode into the middle of town where he started casting a spell, which engraved itself into the town square. Several townspeople asked him what he was doing, to which he responded. “I am engraving a Teleportation Circle into the center of town to link it with Houka and Pearle. It will allow Lady Nadira, Lord Vermillion, and the envoys of their respective countries.” It was a good cover story, after all, Arkayid did spend a lot of time in Houka and Pearle, and came back often.

However, that spell he cast was NOT a Teleportation Circle. He triggered it, and turned around to leave Domachi.

Domachi existed for a split second after Arkayid had left Domachi for a day. A burning cyclone of magical power engulfed the town, annhiliating all that stood, obliterating Dragon, Elf, Human, Dwarf alike. Nothing was spared its hellish power. This force also disrupted reality, as it seemed to everyone the world was twisting and writhing in ways it wasn’t meant to. Then the world settled down, and the cyclone disappated, its fury quenched.

Arkayid watched the hellspell do its work, and nodded in satisfaction.

Lady Sibel will be pleased with the knowledge that Domachi is no more.

When all was said and done, nothing was left alive. Not even animals had escaped the blast that was the Hellspell. Every soul that had been within several miles of the center was gone. Erased as if they had never been there. In the place of a once prosperous city, there stood only a few skeletal structures to remind all of what once had been...

((Yami, Tolleranth, I apologize for killing off everything here. But they die, it is necassary, I shall pm you both the reason why.))
