Yeah. So. Judging. We all do it. But how much are you judged?
I get the worst judgements handed down to me -- I'm an illegal immigrant because I look like a Mexican, I'm a satanist because I'm wearing black pants today.... I'm a liberal because I have an army jacket.... I'm an arab terrorist because my mother's a Punjabi Presbyterian. Hardly anyone notices that I'm usually wearing a cross, nor do they care about my actions.
So. How about you? What're some weird things that people have told you?
And how do you deal with them?

I'm stuck up because I'm shy around bigger crowds and would rather someone come up and say hi to me when in a new place. I'm perverse and misguided when I stick up for Michael Jackson because I believe he was innocent. I'm childish because I'd rather go see 'Over the Hedge' than 'See No Evil' (they can suck eggs on that one *Hugs her RJ plushie* whee ) I'm deprived because I don't have any of the popular CDs, clothes, shoes, etc. But the one I get the most often is I'm naive as the day I was born because they tell dirty jokes and things around me and I don't laugh; they think I don't get them. Now some of them I actually don't get, but many of them I do get (some semblance of, at least), I just don't think they're funny. confused
I usually just blow it off; I've learned a long time ago that if you try too hard to please everybody, you're just going to end up making a wreck of yourself. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, if a person can't see past another person's clothes or skin tone or beliefs, their remarks aren't even worth acknowledging. It's like Mary Poppins said about people not being able to see past the end of their nose. When I think of it that way, it makes me smile and actually end up feeling more sorry for them. wink

Aye, I've been judged in everyway possible. Mainly how I dress, I wear black so I'm evil then, but oh, I have blonde hair, nevermind I'm a poser. Then I'm anorexic just because I'm skinny, dumb because I'm blonde.
It gets really annoying that's for sure. But after a while I think everybody tends to brush it off. There's more important things out there then what some people say.
In my opinion of course.

I get judged because I have custody of my little sister and brother. My mom was unable to take care of them. I have had the oldest for 14 years. I have been told I was evil for doing that but in reality I have given them a better life. I also get judged because my husband left me when I adopted my sister. It hurts sometimes listening to others judge me but a lot of times I know who are my friends and that is all that matters.

It hurts sometimes listening to others judge me but a lot of times I know who are my friends and that is all that matters. why would someone judge you negatively for having custody of your siblings? I think that's wonderful -- there should be more people like you in the world. People are strange sometimes.

Well i'm a smelly goth, satanist, witch xD
They don't call me smelly because i'm smelly it's just a lame insult over here in Sunderland. I'm a christian. They only call me goth because i wear a coupel of bangles most of them have never even seen me outside of school. The witch thing came from someone saying i looked like Mary who was a contestant in a reality t.v show last year, big brother, but if you look at my picture on my profile and know who she is i'm pretty sure you'll disagree.
Nothing what they say offends me and is obviously no where near as bad as what some people get but i still find it annoying how they think they have the right to judge.

kudos to all of you. this is what we open ourselves up to when we dont hide our Christianity. but the bible tells us that the more we're judged and persecuted, the more we'll be blessed!
yeah... im immature and childish because i dont have sex. im a goody goody because i dont drink or smoke. im an overachiever because i get A's and B's... and at the same time, im dumb and ditzy because im a blonde.
oh, and my favorite, im a whore because my boyfriend is four years older than me. *gasp*
people... oi.

Well, I have not dyed my hair black yet or anything... but lets see... I am called goth because I wear black almost every day. I am considered "goth", "emo" or "punk" because I wear chains some times and Tripp pants, people think I am gay because I don't have a boyfriend and I don't really want one to too bad, I have 9 good friends that are guys so appearently I am a slut although I hate even showing my arms and I dress just....normal ( I dislike shorts and short skirts too ). People have thought I am in the occult because I wear black and because I wear this one necklace I got at the Dollar Tree even though I always wear a cross with it, have my bible with me and pray and don't listen to bad music, ext. neutral And I am known for being insane because I talk not much at all or I talk alot ( like I am now ). What about you guys?? ( sorry sorry for typing so soo much emo )

Hmmm, lesse.... I'm a tomboy because I'm a girl gamer. I'm girly because I collect dolls. (Gotta love two labels that contradict themselves) I'm a slob because I slouch in my chair. I'm a tease because I'm a single girl who happens to be friends with single guys. I'm anorexic because I'm a picky eater. (I don't get this one so much anymore, probably because I'm starting to gain more weight) I'm close-minded because I get offended when my friends make fun of Christianity. I was called smug the other day because I had the guts to ask somebody what they believed. Not even why they believed it... but just what they believed.
This person thought I was completely stupid just because I could back up my arguments and he couldn't.
