Hm... I don't know about this, because I thought the GCN controller was fine, and no one was complaining about it for all I know, and the non-gamers can slowly get used to the controllers if need be. Maybe Nintendo is going a little far on this. We'll just see.

That looks like a gamble. It seems as when more infromation regarding the Revolution is brought to surface, more and more questions seem to follow.

My guess would be a touchscreen that changes for each game and says what does what. Jump=Jump, you press up= gos up. It would be very simple, yet technalogically (sp) advanced.

I just hope Nintendo doesn't feel like that they have to pull somthing drastic to make the system appealing to all.

The thing is, its pretty hard to make a controller that's appealing to everyone. They may make something more simple for the more simple gamers, but the more hardcore gamers (like myself) actually prefer the GCN controller to a more simple style because it feels comfortable and I don't have any problems with it (except the C stick, I never got the hang of using that, which is why my skills are only above average on SSBM).

Yes, making a controller that everyone likes will be hard. People with PS2s or xboxs hate the Gamecube's controller just because it has too many buttons. But I like the controller, I hope Nintendo isn't going to make a foolish mistake considering its 'the revolution'. If they marked the Gamecube controller as being too complicated then I keep wondering what they are planning for the Revolution.

I don't get why everyone hates the Gamecube controller. I read reviews that CvS2 EO had the toughest controls on the Gamecube yet I found them easy to use.

I don't think the X-box controller is that bad, as long as you have one of the mini controllers that are a lot smaller, yet the size of a normal GCN/PS2 controller. My problem with X-box and PS2 (aside from X-box's size) is that the buttons are all the same size and spacing, so I can't differenciate between the buttons unless I've played the system for a while, yet Gamecube I just have to feel the buttons and even if its just touching them and not holding the controller, I can still tell by the shape.

Nice play on words. Some letters in Nintendo Power having been getting at the same thing. Mainly the only thing that would keep Nintendo from the Revolution is the 3rd party game companies who might not want to make games only for the Revolution( being that it will have all new features that will be very hard to convert to xbox2 and ps3.)

And yet all my friends are Hardcore Xbox fans who like to use the Duke controllers.
